I remember looking at the data at one point and thinking that the ties with Spidey #3 assumption was incorrect as well. I can't remember if I determined (to my eye) where it actually fits in the chronology or not.

Yes, I think arrival dates will provide a tighter estimate on which books actually hit the stands first. This thread is popular enough that we may get enough examples with arrival dates without having to go to other measures to get them.

I believe that's an early Spider-Man at the bottom of that cover. He's starting to pop up everywhere.
