It's not actually pence, as it's pre decimalisation. It's one shilling, which was the equivalent of 5p once it changed in 1971.

Does anyone remember this book - there was a seller on eBay touting it around many years back as if it was some extremely rare variant. 'Rare Babbages Variant' it was proclaimed, with a BIN price of, as I recall, $5000.

'Regular copy in a bag with a sticker on it' I used to call it.

Now if it was like ASM #184 and had something printed differently from a regular copy, like no cover price or something....

Ya I was googling about that and I can't see why it would sell for crazy price. When ultimately it's just asm Vol 2 15 in a poly bag and nothing more.

Ya I don't see what special beyond poly bag. I would only go gaga if it was say a variant cover or included something like a ad to something or like first hobgoblin issue included tattoo.
