I just noticed this cover, and it suddenly looked familiar.

According to my list I have a copy in the gd to vg range, purchased for under $4 long before your paratrooper thread started. Typical of non-mainstream books -- they're out there and not necessarily expensive, just hard to find because no one cares about them!

After I posted all those from CGC, another book arrived on my doorstep. Now this one I've been searching for, for over a year. Very hard to find, and I don't think has been posted on this board before.

Awesome!

 

The cool thing about this cover is that it's pretty accurate. The artist must know how paratroopers are trained to exit the aircraft. you notice that he's got his legs at a 45 degree agle, straight and tight. His hands are covering the reserve shut handle. and he's got his chin on his chest. Like they say, all jumps are night jumps...he's got his eyes closed.

It is an awesome cover but i've always been partial to the painted covers which is probably why I like the Turoks so much. :cloud9:

But hey, I deftinatly wouldn't turn one of these down. lol

That's one of the things I love about GA. Details like this are either completely accurate or outrageously wrong in the interests of a slam-bang story.

 

Moderns seems to get everything wrong out of sheer laziness. This month's Fantastic Four has Johnny talking about Reed's copyrights bringing in cash. Reed's an inventor. He'd have patents. :frustrated:
