What would YOU like to see on a Comic TV Channel?

That was a great show the History Channel ran on Superheroes. If this was expanded to create a new television Channel on comics, what would you schedule if you were Program Manager?? Thanks to the help of Garganthu, here's a rough outline for possible shows:

327 people? Build it and they will come. (ha) Great start to the programming!

7-8pm - Interviews with dealers/comic collectors and other movers/shakers in the industry (Jay Parrino, Chuck Rozanski, Steve Borock, Bill Hughes, Bob Overstreet, Steve Geppi, etc. (There's certainly enough to find 100 people to talk to)

8-9pm- Biography of Creators (Kirby, Eisner, Wood, Frazetta, Wrightson, Steranko, etc, etc). Easily fill 100 shows with noteworthy people right there.

9-10 pm - History of Characters / Companies (you know, like Superman, Wolverine, Black Terror, Capt. America, Timely, D.C., MLJ, Archie, Casper, Harvey and on and on).

10-11 pm - Live (and taped) coverage from any Con going on that week! Costumes, Panels, Displays, Parties, etc.

11-12 pm Reruns of old comic related cartoons, movies or TV Shows. Hey, it's a start! I'm there! grin.gif

Thanks for the props, Ghoul smile.gif

I think the show about "comic book characters" is a great idea.. but needs to accommodate "Collectors Society Message Board Characters" too, with Bugaboo and Joe Collector getting their own 1/2-hour, "E! True Hollywood Story" segments smile.gif

And Arnold can definitely host the comic book equivalent of The Man Show ... but what's it called? "The Man Show - Arrested Development Edition" ? hehe

And we also need some sponsors, beyond the comic book publishers and movie studios doing tie-in films... how about Bill Cole, Overstreet, Jay Parrino, etc.? They'd cough up a few hundred thou for 15 minutes of fame, right?

Next episode: chicks in Wonder Woman and Scarlet Witch outfits on the trampoline!

Okay, you've got my attention...! Hell, you can always claim Sue Storm is in attendance too - who's gonna prove you wrong?

I'd like to see a like a "grading match" between CgC graders and all comers, like the comic dealer in a spider-mask and his partner, C.omic G.rader C.ivilian, from parts unknown!!

Then we see the masked man leave and as he passes a man holding a comic book, he doesn't stop to grade it...later, we see his Uncle buy the book and it turns out it was restored...WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY...

Also ladies in bikini's could hold up "round cards" and parade around holding slabbed books.....

We could call it "Geeks vs. Superfreaks" - TNN? gossip.gif
