To clarify - I never said that Steve has broken any rules, just that if all of his sales threads were coming from somebody else, especially a new member, and/or if the books weren't up to snuff, I'm sure there would be complaining.

 

I agree, and it's more the *attitude* of people like this that bothers me:

 

What Happened to leaving the "GodFather" of CGC comics the Heck Alone.

 

He is selling good stuff so for all I care he can take of the whole 1st page.

Yep, everyone who wants the Board Regulations respected naturally has "dealer envy". Dealer envy? I've been to tons of comic stores and cons and NEVER once have been envious of any of them.

Now I like Steve too, but he should not be accorded this "above the law" kind of attitude by the low-IQ board members.

 

Just came on to this thread and gotta say.........

 

I am nowhere near "above the law" here.

 

There were one or two people who complained.

 

Someone named Monstro even bumped one of my threads because they were disbarraging my stuff. He/she even told me by PM that they were INTENTIONALLY busting into my sales thread because he/she did not like me. That is against the rules, but I left it alone.

 

Moonlite complained, but he/she would not answer when I asked what I was doing wrong. I still can't find anything that I did which even came close to breaking the rules. So, if someone made a sarcastic comment back the this person, a person who has nothing better to do than complain about my sales threads without reason, who cares?

 

I, more than anyone else here, has to watch what I am doing as my name will be tied to CGC for awhile and they don't want me ruining their name.

 

 

 

Now.........about the semi-porn/porn issue. I actually agree that there should be some seperation of TOTALLY adult pictures from the others. I posted a book that a friend had given me (along with a bunch of others) and, in hindsight, I should have covered up a bit of the cover. I am all for a "freeish" board, but I don't want my daughter seeing that UNTIL she is of an appropriate age that I deem fit. I also do not want a 15 year olds parent looking over their shoulder and saying "What kind of a site are you on! You stay away from that site!", that would hurt our community, not help it. I am not talking about the Cherry Poptart covers, that classic cover for Alien Worlds with the giant bare breated woman and such, but just certain comics, like the one I posted.

 

Maybe we should have an Underground section that you have to be 18 to enter? Other sites have this. Not sure.

 

I just know that I will be very careful in the future about what I post.

Furthermore, the anti-pressing crowd all of a sudden seems to be spending a lot of time counting Steve's selling threads, which still don't violate any rules. If I was up to the task, I'd drag up the thread where the consensus was that reasonable separation of and maintenance of multiple threads based upon classification of comics was fine as long as it was reasonable. REASONABLENESS a concept that these boards occasionally forget about.

But that consensus was in relation to the existing 2-3 active threads mandate and why you would even split it up into more than one. It wasn't an open "you can post infinite sales threads as long as they're different enough" mandate.
