OT: What are your favorite Top 10 TV shows of all time?

106 posts in this topic

No top ten but a couple I really enjoyed:

PROBE w/Parker Stevenson as the rich genius scientist

MAX HEADROOM - the scifi series - not the talk show - way ahead of its time and always "20 minutes into the future". Part of its demise came from networjk directives to "dumb it down". They did. It died.

I'm sorry, but you want this thread. poke2.gif

I can't believe anybody but me remembers PROBE. foreheadslap.gif

I was going to post it there but forgot to and this thread came around so...well...I posted. Sue me, silky boy! grin.gif

In no particular order, and yes, there's more than 10.

thirtysomething

WKRP in Cincinnati

Lost

Survivor (first year only, was the best show in the history of television for that first year because it was completely untrod ground. Every "reality show" since then has been formulaic based on that one)

Saturday Night/Saturday Night Live 1975-1980 only

Seinfeld

Hill Street Blues

Carol Burnett Show

The Simpsons

The Ray Rayner Show (local kids show in Chicago cloud9.gif)

Beavis and Butthead

Oz

The Wire

Ok, so maybe not all 5 Star Trek series are in my top 10 favorites, but I have seen every episode of each. sorry.gif

Used to love this show from the mid 80's with Jason Bateman called It's Your Move that ran for just one season when I was young. It was a precursor to Married with Children by the same people and starred Marcy's husband.

Great show, never repeated since - same cynical humor as Married With Children.

We had the same thing here in Detroit in the 1970s, but the host was "Sir Graves Ghastly" thumbsup2.gif

And every Sunday morning they would run an Abbott & Costello movie cloud9.gif
