2006 has been a killer year for me. Here are four of the very best:

Thank you Mr. Highgrade for this killer copy of a grail book!

Thank you BronzeBruce for letting go of this beauty.

And finally, thank you Dr. Painfree for this pair of gem Spidey grails.

Trevor! Where's the love? Seriously though I probably will be collecting mostly copper/modern books this year for budgetary reasons so I'll have to live off the high from 2006 for a while.

I might be able to pick up a nice bronze book here or there via trade...

WOW, nice books in this thread!

My last decent BA purchase of 2006 was this book for $40.

BAT222.jpg

My first decent BA purchase of 2007 was an entire NM run of the WARLORD which included 1st Issue Special #8 + #1 to #104.

I paid 5 for a dollar in my LCS' quarter bin so for $21, I bagged them all!

And they are sweet books, let me tell you, definitely CGC worthy.

When a new 2007 BA thread starts up, I'll post some scans of them.

Whoops, wrong copy of that book.

That's my lower grade copy that I'm about to sell on eBay.

The higher grade copy I bought is from this auction which I haven't scanned yet.

It's a gorgeous copy. I'll post the scan within the next week.

You did have a serious 2006 though. Those books are SUPER spoonin' sweet.

893scratchchin-thumb.gif I haven't really had time to scan a lot of stuff I bought in 2006, here is some of the stuff I was happy to acquire earlier in the year.

Hey thanks Shep, funny thing is of all my BA purchases in 2006 the SSWS 151 and 154 were my favorite. Not very often that you see DC's in that shape, especially the non-superhero DC's - though I'm sure with your collecting interests you are all too aware of this fact.

I should give another shout out to Brent at Quality Comix for selling me these two books at a reasonable price.

Funny how that works, as the Supes 233 was purchased off Ron Murray another great dealer.

Great shots! Which show was that?

It's photos like that which are the reason I have to get to more cons!

Man, I would love to find a nice #154 on the floor at a show! One book that has eluded me in HG for a long, long time.

Its funny, I bought the SSWS from Brent on SUNDAY - they were literally my last purchase at the show (WonderCon '06). It might have been that the 12 or so copies of ASM 129 and a bunch of other Marvels were distracting collectors from the SSWS on the wall.

I was super surprised to find them there - they were zero other copies on the floor of that show above 6.0.

The Supres 233 is the Monterey copy grin.gif

Is that Steve Wyatt in the background of the 2nd shot?
