WTTF Four Colors

I have been inspired by the posting of Four Color books in the Gold section.

 

I want to see how many Four Colors I can add to my collection in 2007. The catch is that I want to try and Trade for these only at this time. I have completed a few nice trades on the boards and hope to do more.

 

I have tens of thousands of books to work from for trades, and I like to try and fill want lists. Marvels, DC, Gold Keys, Charletons, Classics etc. Just trying to have fun with trading books like when some of us were kids.

 

I am starting off with about 100 different issues now. I would like to have 500 by the end of '07

State a few preferances, whatcha got, whatcha looking for, etc, location,

etc, etc... shipping a $3 book for a $3 book may not be feasible for some.

I have a spare voodoo hoodoo FC 238 in lower grade (don't recall exactly but somewhere around gvg probably) that I would trade for other barks stuff... voodoo hoodoo is also not often (ever?) reprinted due to racial content so its a nice one to have.

Given how few of the 1200 books I have at this point I will take most anything as long as the trades work out. Grade should be at least a VG-. Not looking for slabbed copies

 

It certainly is better if there are enough books in the transaction to make it worth the postage. Hopefully at least $50-100 minimum value to make it worth the time to for the transaction.

 

I have got way too many books to even thing of listing, but the initial stock to work from is the remaindar of an almost complete run of DC, Marvels and many others from late 60's through 90 when I added it to my collection.. extensive runs of Gold Keys, Dells, Charletons, Classics. still have a decent selection of Spideys, FF's and Xmen, but those have been hit the hardest over the years as i have been selling or trading from it.

Finally got the chance to go to storage and make a list. I thought I had more than i do. starting off with only 66 and 10 duplicates. wonder how many I can come up with my the end of the year. These are the ones I have. Will gladly trade you Tuesday for a Four Color today

VG/F to F: 353 Barks cover 450 Barks cover 1150 all Barks

F/VF: 1025 all Barks 1239 Barks cover

jmg, I finally found, and tooks pics of, my spare FC 238, but its lower grade than I recalled and probably lower than you were looking for. If you still want it check the threads as I am going to post it for sale now.

UP to 81 with more on the way I expect to be over 100 soon . I even am able to work out trades with LCS's at a fair rate. Probably because almost nobody else is trying to collect all of them since they have so many different genres that do not normally flow together. I for one never would collect westerns (nor even Barks even though I do like them) except for these issues.
