some pick-ups from the Big Apple con - proving that lower grade comics deserve love too.

You are correct, sir! I went to San Diego CC in 1995 with that book as my goal, and bought a nice one within five minutes of entering the show. Later that day, I met Frank at the Christies booth and proudly showed him my grail. He looked at it fondly and said "That's the only one... The only book I drew cover-to-cover."

 

Thirty years ago, Thunda #1 was one of the 100 most valuable comic books.
