Funny, I was looking at my AMAN's last night, and the colors on the #7 seem muted and sort of dull (even on the best of copies) compared to , say, the yellows and blues and greens on #5. Then the bright colors pick up again on #8. I always thought the cover to #7 would be twice as cool if it had the vibrancy that other comics from that time had.
