These are SO underrated. Eisner was a master storyteller and designer/artist. Like ECs and Barks books, I can read them over and over and enjoy them like the first time. I had this signed by Mr Eisner at the SDCC WAY back when it was at the El Cortez. Such a wonderful time to be a young comic collector. Eisner and Kirby were there every year for seems like forever. Both very cool and very approachable guys. Still hard to believe they have both left us but I have this memory of hanging out by the pool after a long day of wheeling and dealing with all my geek buddies. I have slowly begun to rebuild a small but cool Fawcett block of books again. This book has always been a grail. Love at first sight when i was a hardcore Fawcett guy, but, it always seldom seemed to come up, and when it did, it was what i felt was 'too high' for it at the time, or something else that appeared to be a once in a lifetime opportunity came along. Sometimes it was vacation time, lol. Anyway, finally nailed down a copy this year.
