Popular Post davebo357
Thanks for the link, that's a great idea too. Having a tough time deciding whether I want to be lazy and just get Ikea's or go custom, but your way would certainly let me get a more wood look I want. I'm really kicking myself for not repainting the boring beige storage room before moving all my "carp" into it. Edit: Didn't realize there were built-in censors so I've changed it to the word carp. Double-Edit: I'm going to go ahead and post the mantle of my basement and the tri-fold comic book holder I have. These aren't from the actual comic storage room but they're what I get to look at every day. wombat
After what seems like a really long time, my garage conversion is finally complete. Of course I have no money left to actually do anything with it, but it's a start. Before pics (forgot to snap some pics before they started, but close enough). ADAMANTIUM
@wombat Hey congrats on the project! That, I'm sure, was a lot of work and a lot to get done and it's awesome! Edited February 11, 2018 by ADAMANTIUM

That leave me two huge walls for comics and statues. The unpainted wooden door leads to a new laundry room and pantry. Debating on putting the bar out there as well. oakman29

Popular Post wombat
Might as well add these to. We gave the living room a makeover at the same time. There used to be really ugly wood paneling on the walls. This is now my wife's "woman cave". Can you tell she is an Aliens fan? wormboy, davebo357, ADAMANTIUM and 7 others

Did you want to keep the project on the DL - therefore not changing the front elevation? Nice new space to fill, whatever the reason. Congrats! tv horror
I think that he sealed the doors up because the garages hydraulic arm was in the way of his floor plan and had to be removed. 1950's war comics
wombat
I wanted it to look like a garage from the outside. And yes we did remove all of the pieces related to the automatic opener. STORMSHADOW_80 and tv horror 1

I once helped my in-laws renovate there garage into a “dance room”. They live in Texas, where cold and snow is not an issue.

We also installed a heating/cooling unit (You can see it on one of the pictures). With the big opening to the rest of the house I don't think we will even need it in the winter. We have had some pretty cold days and it's been fine out there. I'm more worried about really hot days.
