RedFury
A little shelf-porn for you. [/img] Wow!! That's gotta weigh a ton. Hope you don't have any earthquakes where you live These are IKEA Billy bookcases, and although the shelves sag slightly, the bookcases can handle the weight. I've had them fully loaded, some for 20 years. I do secure them to the wall and each other though, to provide lateral support. delorean1981
More of a comic wall, but I really need to get my Star Wars #1 front and center. Missing 4 more from NYCC.

Ccmp99
This Thanksgiving, among other things, I am certainly grateful for the space I have that contains my somewhat controlled collection (hoard) of comics and other things I enjoy. I know this doesn't compare to some other ones on here, but this one is mine... The awards are just a few awarded while in the Marines 2003 - 2008 The oil paintings are painted by my Grandfather and Great Grandfather The Action and Tec are repro covers with old comic books for the guts Happy Holidays -Matt Semper Fidelis Edited November 29, 2014 by Ccmp99

Eric Seffinga
Looks like a great lived in space rather than an exhibit. Seems a good comfy place to read some great books to me! Really dig the drafting/drawing table. Thanks for sharing.

At some point I'll put a tv down there around where the the marine corps flag is. But for now I'll take it, I wish I could spend more time down there,

Cyclops
That is a SWEET room, ccmp. Wish I had a space like that, not to mention some of those Silvers. You had me going with the Goldies. I was like, really? Could it be? Surely no one's that nonchalant about showing those books Thanks for posting

I figure those framed repros and my Famous First Editions will have to make do for now, until I win the lottery, or a miracle happens. It's always fun to show people those books and let them know how much they would be worth...if they were real

The Kaptain
Careful with that sunlight so close to your books! I would either block out that window or get a much heavier curtain. You can get faded covers and tan pages in no time. Edited December 2, 2014 by Kaptain Kollektor
Chadwick
Can you not buy UV protection bags for cgc cases? I know indirect sunlight is really not as bad as most ppl say.
Comic Consortium
I have a Salvador Dali sketch that is really valuable and I had an art expert frame it behind UV glass , museum standard. I did the same thing myself to my CGCs. I bought four 5X5 plates of UV glass and use that to cover the front of my gems.
