Careful with that sunlight so close to your books! I would either block out that window or get a much heavier curtain. You can get faded covers and tan pages in no time.

Good advice. I usually have cardboard up there behind the curtains, but took it down took it down for the photo op. Still, I appreciate it

A lot of these rooms aren't very well organized. Looks like just a bunch of clutter all over the place and nothing matches. Learn to decorate guys. So far, it looks like a messy teenagers room with a lot of expensive stuff in it.

Hockey stick, guitar, drawing desk, random oil paintings... its really got the lot  Sensational room.

Thanks, the paintings were done by my grandfather Malcolm Perry and great grandfather Frank Perry. My grandfather recently passed at the age of 100. I believe they both have entries on Askart .com. I was fortunate enough to take some lessons from him a few years back. So I can see where my interest in art comes from.

That's the idea! :headbang:

Do the books have to be in direct sunlight to be affected?

Or

Does any sunlight entering the room affect the book?

Doesn't the slab protect against UV rays to some degree?

Thanks (thumbs u

I am going to do this same type of setup but need to rethink it a bit because I am cautious of sun damage.

We bought a new house last month, which is great. Moving isn't. Especially moving all of my geek room stuff to the new upstairs loft office. I like the room now that it is set up, but lots of heavy boxes had to be lugged up the stairs and unpacked.

But anyway here it is starting with the entrance at the top of the stair landing
