Please check out everyone's booths at the CGC Virtual Comicon. Show times are Saturday April 14 PM 6-12 EDT, Sunday April 15 4-10 PM EDT. If there are questions, please refer to the FAQ thread.

 

Individual sellers booths are below. Again, here are the rules:

 

1) One post per person within the thread, for a single "booth" for a seller.

2) Starts at 6 PM EDT, goes until midnight EDT Saturday, 4 PM EDT-10 PM Sunday. Sellers can "close" their booths early if they want, but NO PRESHOW SELLING of items in your booth.

3) All sales must be honored.

4) Books for sale in the Virtual Comicon can ONLY be in that thread, no place else

5) Either a thumbnail or a link to a book, not large scans.

6) Responses only through PMs, NOT "I'll take it" signs. Seller is responsible for updating his/her own post.

7) Other sales threads are welcome and encouraged, but only one post per person within the thread to start with.

8) "Booths" can be updated throughout the event by sellers, but ONLY within their own post.

9) NO limit on the length of the post - you can have 10,000 items in there, if you so desire

10) Absolutely NO discrimination against whoever wants to post items. Anybody who wants to post, please do so.

11) We'd prefer that people set up their "booths" ahead of time, so everybody knows who is in the Comicon.

12) You can sell anything even remotely comic related. Books, toys, games, whatever. This is a comic show. The last time I went to a comic show where there were no toys for sale was about 1980.

13) Off-topic posts within the Shared Thread will be PMed to delete their post to keep the thread clean.

15) "Moderators" for this event are myself sckao, and Jimm94. Please address all questions/concerns to one of us. I'll be the Ringmaster for the opening.

I graded the 4 caps harshly for their production defects. They appear much nicer than their grades might suggest but certain defects or production flaws just don't belong in higher grades (As I am sure you folks know)!

• Mike Mayhew Mystique $225 This piece is on the back of 11x17 comic board. It was done by Mike at Wondercon 2006. Sorry for the bad pics. Pencils are hard to pick up with camera or scanner. The piece looks great in person. The second pic will give you an idea of how big the image is on the board. (note: top of art got croped in second pic). Mike's stuff is very expensive so here is a more affordable option for you collectors.

Crime Suspenstories 13 in 5.0. Classic EC, featuring an absolutely gorgeous story drawn by Al Williamson! Light general wear, almost none of which breaks color...looks really nice. Back $70

 

Crime Suspenstories 15 in 5.5. Beautiful copy of another classic EC. Craig, Kamen, Evans, Ingles art with a Ray Bradbury adaptation! Front looks superb, 7.0/7.5 appearance, but some edge chips on the back cover will lower the grade. Stunning gloss & eye appeal. Back $75 SOLD

 

Detective 53 in 1.8/2.0. Nice low-grade copy of this early Batman issue. Book looks VG/VG- at first glance with very nice cover colors, but there’s a sizable piece missing on the spine which will drop the grade (luckily, no effect on eye appeal). Also some very minor archival tape seal inside spine (very hard to see, not visible on IFC). Cover firmly attached. Still presents well, complete & readable. Here’s a nice sample Batman page. Back $120

 

Green Hornet #22 in 1.8/2.0. Awesome WWII Schomburg cover! And with some of these WWII books, the inside stories are tame, but this book is filled with some incredibly racist anti-Japanese stories (sample page). Low-grade copy with lots of general wear, and one page has a stain/tear issue with some tape (see here). Still, nice cover colors for the grade, and a wild read! Back $48

 

Mystery Men #4 in 1.8. Classic Lou Fine cover, wonderful 1939 Fox book. Nice rich colors, flat glossy cover, but cover wrap detached from book & has discreet archival tape sealing spine & tears inside. Still a nice reading copy. OS Guide is $248 in 2.0. Back $130

 

Pep #27 in 1.5. A scarce book on the want list of many an Archie or war cover collector. This book has everything: classic “Bill of Rights” WWII cover, awesome Shield story where he aids the French resistance against the Nazis, wild Hangman story with a typically high body count, other WWII stories, and an early Archie story with the 2nd appearance of Veronica! Low-grade book, some spine roll and cover nearly loose at staples. Incredibly tough MLJ in any grade! Back $195

 

 

 

Science Comics #3 in Fair. Reading copy of one of my very favorite 1940 Fox books (so much so that it’s where my avatar is taken from!). Condition flaws are obvious...a kid’s coloring in the logo, pieces missing at the bottom. There's also archival tape inside cover wrap, which is detached from the book. All that said, there are modest positives…cover is nice and glossy with bold colors, and besides the logo issue it presents better than the average Fair. The pages are quite bright and supple for a 1940 book, and interior is complete. Some really wild stories with GGA/bondage and bizarre art. Really fun read, and an inexpensive way to own a cool early Fox! $99

 

Superman #6, Coverless/CFO. Bargain copy of this early Superman, with four classic Siegel & Shuster stories! Centerfold is missing, which affects the last two pages of the 2nd story; everything else is complete. The outer wrap has wear, but in general pages are really nice, bright & supple. Comes with a nice reproduction cover wrap. Great reader! Sample page $80 SOLD

 

Superman #23 in 2.0. Classic WWII cover! And one of the rare war-themed Superman stories as well. Nice interior paper. Awesome issue, always in demand. Back $175

 

Superman scrapbook (1940). I have a real fondness for all the Superman merchandise from 1940. This is an oversized spiral-bound book, with both front and back cover art taken from the cover to Superman #2! Inside are some really charming vintage kids drawings, including drawings of Superman himself. Bright cover colors, pretty nice condition. (The horizontal line in the center is in the scan only.) $40

 

Weird Fantasy 15 in 4.5. Killer EC scifi book with two Al Williamson stories! Front presents like a strong mid-grade book, but discoloration on the back cover will lower the technical grade (not quite sure what it is, but it seems to be closer to foxing than to outright moisture damage). Classic Feldstein monster/GGA cover! Back $80 SOLD

Cold-cast porcelain Maquettes based on models designed for the series and produced for the artists and animators on which to base their drawings and products on. Sculpted by Karen Palinko and standing approximately 9.25" tall x 5" wide. Packaged in a 4-color box. All maquettes come in their original boxes and have basically never been opened except to check the contents.
