Hulk trade question

I've got a very very nice copy of Incredible Hulk #2, would it really be stupid to trade this book for a graded "good" #1? Somehow, I was able to buy the #2 for $400 a couple of years ago. Since I don't have much in it, I'm really confused on what to do. What would you do? Here's a pic of #2:

Good point, I shot him an e-mail to find out the exact grade, we talked about a lot of different books that day.

It would also be helpful if you can post a scan of the book so we can put in our opinions on the book's grade.

Yeah, I wish I had a pic, I know there are some spine issues at the top and bottom of the book but the dealer said it's a pretty book, I'll find out for sure tomorrow. I'm mainly dealing on a golden age Cap book, if the Hulk book is nice, I'll snag it also.

Too late. I've already upgraded my status of having a ton of 4.0's.

Your 2 has some tape and that would prevent it from being a "nice' copy. Trade it in a heartbeat for a same price Hulk 1 so long as it was blue label and not a disaster book (big hole in it - major water damge/etc...).

My pictures suck and I tweaked the contrast of the photo (an attempt to cut glare) therefore making imperfections look worse. It's actually a "fine" to "very fine" copy, that's why I'm shocked I got it for $400. That dealer has regretted that sale ever since. It's complete and original, that's also why I'm a little torn on what to do.

I would love a Hulk #1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I would love it so much, it would hurt.

No offense, Mo Fun, but your copy looks far from VF. Are the stains actually stains or simply a bad photo? Also what appear to be Marvel chips on the right edge preclude a VF grade. Is the person your trading with aware of these problems?

Your right Moondog, VF is pushing it, the one thing I know is that it is better than VG, the guy should have sold that book for at least double. I replaced the photo with the original untouched. As far as the chipping, there is none. What your seeing is the top of the back cover, it bends to the front but has no tears or chipping. I admitt that I'm no grading expert but I'm better than the dude who sold be that book. It's really impossible to grade a book by a photo, and this thing is double bagged and boarded so that doesn't help. Believe me, it's a sweet book in person.

I'm kind of the opposite of a lot of the opinions you are getting. But my opinion comes from a guy that has neither issue.

 

Hulk #2 is nothing to sneeze at so I'd keep it.

 

But don't take my opinion with any weight because I don't like to let any book get away from me once I have it.

Thanks mica, I've seen a few #1's, but this is my first 2. I know one thing, I'll never get another for that price and that condition. If I've got to think this hard, I would probably regret letting this one go.
