I can tell you my favorite Silver Age in August will be a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #39 signed by John Romita Sr. (around 4.5-5.0 condition) when I buy it from a local collector who's holding on to it for me til then.

From what I've read of the silver age, I'd say my favorites are FF 4 and Avengers 4... the rebirth of two GA heroes.

FF 48 for me hands down for the pure enjoyment of reading the book. The whole arc to issue 50 still takes me back in time every time I read it.

Avengers #4 is apparently VERY common compared to other keys in that era/time frame.

I'm hoping down the road to pick up some copies of FF 48-50. I'm not a big FF fan, but this is definitely a story arc that I want to add into the collection.

Silver Surfer 1-5 as well for the later issues

 

DC - Superman/Flash races - & every Neal Adams late 60's early 70's cover
