I'm still jazzed about this film. I love the idea of how they cast Tony Stark.

 

That first clip makes me wonder if they're borrowing plot elements from the animated film that just came out.

It looks like they're combining the Ultimate Iron Man with the cartoon Iron Man and tossing a sprinkle of the SA one for taste.

 

I found it extremely weird that Tony has the high-tech green neon heart apparatus, yet is manually smelting his own armor in a low-tech environment. Maybe they changed his origin so that he's got an artificial heart long beforehand?

 

Who knows, it could be good, but the jury is definitely still out.

By "acting chops" I assume you mean "battles with drugs and the law".
