paperheart
JLA #1 9.4 in the latest pedigree auction: $40,000 missed it by that much.... maybe next time. Rick It was the Toth copy. After factoring in Pedigree's seller commissions, did the seller even break even? did if the seller was doug

tth2
Some seriously weak prices across the board for JLAs in the Heritage auction. I actually won a few and was underbidder on quite a few others, including the 9.4 JLA 3 which I never figured to be in the running for. Quite a comedown from the price paid for the 9.4 copy that sold on Pedigree, particularly considering that this one appeared to be nicer because it didn't have the miswrap of the Pedigree copy. kimik
I thought that the 7.5 B&B #28 did fairly well also. Maybe B&B #28 and JLA will be the next SA DC title to see a spike like SC #22 and GL last year?

B&B 28 4.5 and under can be worth about 3/4 of SC22 than we should have another 30-40% . The price for SC22 really jumps a lot once it reaches 5.0+. And if B&B 28 5.0+ can be worth 3/4 of SC22 that will be 40-60% growth

Maybe all the SA collectors are in states like California and New York and have been driven off by the sales tax that now gets charged on them? There really were some remarkable deals in the Heritage auction.

Yup, Anyways, the reported Heritage results are all inclusive of BP, so bottom line is that the Comiclink price (which does NOT include their 3% service charge) is higher than the Heritage all-in price. Agreed, and my comment was meant more as a joke that I figured would get the usual who doesn't figure that in? comment. FWIW, I still think that it is way too high compared to the other sites. That being said, doesn't Clink tend to do better with SA prices than HA in most cases? Looking at the latest offerings, I thought that the HA auction was weaker for SA books as a whole than the Clink auction so that might have affected it as well with more people saving up for the latter one. JLA_ALL_THE_WAY
JLA prices in the Comiclink auction seem to be doing much better than they did on Heritage. agreed- i wonder why? One reason is...me. On the one side, I just lost my job at the Wynn Casino then immediately signed up for the WSOP at the Rio. So I've been busy re-sorting my priorities for the time being. Otherwise, the #3 (and a couple others) would have been mine. Or at least would have gone for substantially more. On the other side, a handful of the JLAs on Clink were my under-copies. So no competition from me on those. Didn't realize my lack of participation as a buyer could have such a profound effect on the JLA market. Go figure. Sorry to hear that Rick, and glad to hear that you landed another gig somewhere else straight away! Otherwise, the #3 (and a couple others) would have been mine. Or at least would have gone for substantially more. I wonder who won it, then? On the other side, a handful of the JLAs on Clink were my under-copies. So no competition from me on those. Not sure I'm following your logic as to why that caused prices on Clink to be stronger. You weren't really going after anything on Heritage, and you were selling on Clink. So it seems like you were a non-factor in both auctions.
JLA_ALL_THE_WAY
Actually, I was emphasizing how bidding action would have been even stronger on both sites if I was in a position to buy. What you call "non-factor," I label "excellent timing" for any other HG JLA collector. Savor it boys n girls, it won't last long. Rick Oh, and thanx for your support, Tim (I assumed your mystery buyer snagged the #3).
