  1. Nice book. (thumbs u I have one too, but mine looks exactly like that, as in mine is coverless! Your copy must be folded inside out since the Joker splash is in the middle of the comic.
  2. Awesome! I've picked up a couple of Tim books recently but those redbacks are great! (thumbs u Redbacks are fun
  3. Picked up a ROA secret society book from 1938 to go with my badges. Yes I want "stinkin' badges". bb
  4. I have never seen that Terry for sale and I like it. I have one of these Popped Wheat giveaways and have seen it for sale several times. I like this Flash Gordon Bread giveaway too but haven't seen it very often. Does anyone else have a bunch?
  5. Need coverless copy of Marvel Mystery 36 Need a cover for Captain America 13 (But I changed the scans below to add a little variety). I could also use the cover to Marvel Mystery 30 which had a similar theme. Need a Hangman 6 centerfold and covers for Hangman 2 and Jackpot 2, Top-Notch 11 and 12 Add Daredevil 27 and Boy 30 to the need covers group and Dynamic 9 and Flash 42, 82 Firestone 1947, Batman 25 and 36 and Mystery in Space 2 to the need coverless copy group. I have two Blue Ribbon issues (13 and 17) that need a cover and one that needs a centerfold. Will trade a Batman 22 centerfold for a Batman 19 or 36 centerfold. I have a Batman 68 with no cover and the last ad page missing for trade and a coverless Batman 22 with the second page missing. Also need a cover for Batman 19 but a good scan would do for now. I have the Mighty Midget. Just need the Cap 20 cover with the glue spot.
  6. All of those Joker covers are hard to get. Inside stories of Batman 49 are pretty good too. bb

  8. Thanks. I could use one of those explosion covers by Ditko too. bb
  9. I think that was Top-Notch 17 or 18. Just another mad scientist splash. There were so many but this guy had giant rats.
  10. I have a lot of Batman comics and noticed that some of the splash pages are better than the covers.
  11. Fawcett comics from 1943 were good reads. Lots of interaction with Spy Smasher kept the Big Red Cheese in the war effort. And I still think Schomburg did some of these early Freckles' covers for Nedor.
  12. This one has a few flaws but I like that Masked Marvel cover. bb
  13. Teaching is OK but I miss working in the lab.
  14. I also found these But I have never found any of these prints.
  15. I think you clip the order coupon from the bottom of the book and send it in with a silver certificate dollar. Then they will send you a poster and 12 issues of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories. Quite a deal, really. Picked this up at a flea market.
  16. my first two always entombed; the new one coming has been cracked out, so i'll get to read a story and will let you know. i, too, was curious about that. I checked a few back issues and noticed they used both names in V1#2 (even in the same panel) but they dropped the Manowar by V2#2. scans from GA.UK
  17. I like the Ghost Rider stories and covers and I don't think Ayers gets enough credit for being really creative. Sure I like Frazetta too but...
  18. Some of those EC covers are real head bangers. They probably should be classics but we haven't realized it yet.
  19. He's got one Master, one Captain Marvel Jr., and one Green Lama. What other titles did he do covers for? Not a classic cover designation but I have always liked his cover to Dynamic Comics #9. Me too
  20. I posted somewhere that the Tec 60 cover was in the Batman Archive edition that I got for Christmas. I should have posted it here too. bb
  21. BZ, If I remember correctly, you were a fan of "Calling 2-R". While sorting through some old scans, I noticed that Jack Warren (Alonso Vincent) also did this strip. Nifty art.
  22. I guess this belongs here. Just a cover but still looking for the matching interior.
  23. Nice cover! It makes a nice bookend to this cover: This isn't silver age but the story fits in with the theme above.
  24. I am also looking for coverless Speed comics. Issues 21 and 35 are highest on the list but almost any other issue would be good.
