  1. As long as it's stated in the beginning of your thread, go for it. Only a suggestion, but I would see it there are any forum members in your area that might assist in helping you pack and ship your books. Maybe for a free book, a couple of bucks, or some ice cold beer. Ice cold beer. Speaking of which, where the heck is cd4ever's sales thread? Is he pilfering around his record collection? Taking one of those long smoke breaks in the Kansas evening air? He's passed out on his deck listening to "dancing queen" by Abba Hope he manages to dance back to his sales thread ( Because you mentioned Abba, he might try to backdoor some obscure Abba lyrics).

  3. Kudos to bhhooks22 for going above and beyond the call of duty in helping me sell a book. I think I'm in love. Not Hooks (), but, you know. The boards. Team spirit. That kinda thing. However, if my funds arrive in foreign currency, I might have a change of kudos heart..............
  4. Marc Thanks a lot my friend. It was fun while it lasted, and a heartfelt thanks to you and everyone else here on the Boards who I have dealt with in the past. It took me little more than a year to amass a nice collection (In my opinion of course ) of FFs. They were my pride and joy, and though it hurt to have to had let them go , they are only funny books, after all, and my beliefs in preserving my family run much deeper indeed...If I ever DO collect again, best believe I will have an even better collection the next time around. Anyes it would be FFs again... I look forward to keeping in touch with everyone. Thomas Good luck to ya Dinker !! ... ....We'll miss ya !1 ........ You haven't gone to Mexico with my money yet, have you? Wait a minute. With gas prices, I'm not sure you could get out of that great state of Texas.
  5. Kudos to Inaflash, esquirecomics, and BlowUpTheMoon for recent packages of goodies.
  6. You do realize that'll be 1AM on the East Coast. Hawaii guy... Guess it's an all-nighter... Agreed ! , ...I sometimes check in at this hour briefly . But remember it's midnight for many of us right now , so don't be too disappointed ! ........ Swig some coffee, knucklehead!......... Your friendly troller. :smirk:
  7. Aren't 3 of those 4 tough black covers? Whew. What a haul. :hail:
  8. Kudos to: --JohnT for some sweet books that arrived safely, including some Wonder Womans and two issues from one of my childhood series--the Invaders. --cd4ever for some additional sweet books which I'll likely discover were undergraded. A Cap #123 in VF for 2.00.
  9. That Adventure is to die for. I see from the census there's only 2 copies in 9.8.
  10. Kudos to: --ffcomics for quick shipping and working out a kink in my order. --blue808 for some nice, sweet HG deals.
  11. I'm speechless (this doesn't happen often). Well, in the end, you have one and I don't. Congrats though!
  12. For those who haven't been following it, that AF #15 sold for $1,135.00!
  13. For those of us wanting to land a low-grade AF #15 in the near to distant future, let's hope a certain auction currently on ebay isn't indicative of the future. That AF #15 in CGC 0.5 (slightly brittle pages) is now over $1,000 with nearly a day left. There is no grade below a 0.5. I guess there is a PQ below "slightly brittle." Um, brittle. :yeahok: I honestly didn't think this copy would eclipse a grand. Thoughts? Ruminations? Lamentations? Rebukes against panic?
  14. Kudos to bhhooks22 for leaving all those photos in the general thread of his yesteryears. Just like a poet, standing naked before all of us. Who could've guessed that he'd wind up a family man, gay and happy, and hoarding Avengers #4s.
  15. Kudos to greggy for a sweet comic from last month's VCC--a Jungle Action #5 (ah, a Marvel). Professionally packaged with the works. Very satisfactory transaction with one of the VCC elites.
  16. Agreed. By PM keep it under wraps...you don't want anyone to know what kind of shifty lowballer you are, right? On the open forum, keep it up and visible. As Joe says it is fun to see what they sold for and find out what deal you missed out on so you can kick yourself. Kicking yourself.
  17. CAP, don't denigrate yourself...Hooks is the one with deep, dark issues.
  18. Kudos to the following whose packages recently arrived: --rube11 for a great deal on some FFs. :hail: --Jeffreykli for two Bronze Age ASMs, including a sweet copy of #113. --comicdey for my first Hulk #182. --wconditionfreak for sending me, free of charge, an ASM #323 that fulfilled an upgrade need. I see he's now unregistered himself and is labeled as anonymous. Who was that generous masked man?
  19. I've heard it said this thread is too mellow for uproarious behavior. There's always room for some uproarious behavior....... Especially with you around.
