  1. And here I just purchased: Radiant Black #1 Cvr A Cho DEC200009 5 Radiant Black #1 Cvr B Ferigato & Costa DEC200010 1
  2. Below is one of two copies I purchased around 2003. It was obvious that it was going to be a CGC 9.6 because of the back cover. I have not submitted the other copy nor the, approximately, 15-20 (plus ?) copies that I purchased off the shelf at my LCS and newsstand.
  3. Indeed, and despite how much I have overpaid in the past for certain Bronze Age comic books every single one is worth more presently, some quite a bit, than what I paid. Of course, when I finally decide to sell them they will not be.
  4. One of my all time favorite bronze age comic books. I have a few raw copies purchased a great many years ago but this copy was too nice to pass up. Edit: I'll add this one as well. Okay, I'll add
  5. Very few of the bids I have made over, roughly, the last eight months have been close to the winning one.
  6. Very soon I may not be able to afford any CGC graded Bronze Age comic books, including those that "no one wants."
  7. If I may be intrusive, and I will be, do you use a bright light (I use an OttLite) and a magnification glass (I use one) to grade? I have always used them to grade Golden Age to Modern Age comic books as well as magazines and find them indispensable to see everything on the comic book or magazine.
  8. Where I reside USPS is far and away the best as FEDEX and, lately, UPS each have only one dependable individual as the others will, for example, launch, not throw, packages onto the porch-if you are near the front of the house you'll hear the thud. Of course, FEDEX and UPS will also keep cancelling delivery up to three times, thus far, before launch.
  9. Occasionally I even purchase the "You Are a Sucker for Purchasing this Cover" variant.
  10. 18 hours ago, Buzzetta said: This entire hobby is basically needless spending... Indeed; I could have teeth instead of an issue of Detective Comics.
  11. Although I have never used Fast Track for any submission tier I do not believe that it will get you better or lesser grades versus "Slow Tack." Obviously, receiving the grades one wants is based on being able to grade comic books and/or magazines and/or having CGC perform a pre-screen.
  12. Bob, Yes, raising the prices of DC's products.
  13. It appears that the Batman 227 was purchased by registry member MarvinTheMartian.
  14. 25 comic books "Finalized / Imaged / Shipped" on Friday, 2/5/21. 10 comic books Finalized / Imaged / to be Shipped on Monday, 2/8/21.
  15. I understand your decision to not submit under fast track as I can't justify the current CGC $10 charge per comic book to do so since if I submit, for example, 25 books that is, of course, another $250 that it would cost me to have my books graded. To state the obvious, clearly, fast track submission works for a lot of folks but, to repeat, it does not for me. The same holds for the signing events CGC is holding.
  16. Perhaps the term "pay to play" applies. As for me, I can't afford to "play."
  17. "... [W]hich are I have already graded ..." The English language is your friend!
  18. "Scheduled for Grading" today, January 28, 2021. "Grading / Quality Control" on Thursday, February 4, 2021. I imagine that my next MSL submission either 26, which are I have already graded, 35, 40, 45, or 50 comic books, if I have the time to grade other books today and this upcoming weekend, will be at CGC a "long time."
  19. Today, February 5, 2021, at 9:11 a.m. EDT the MSL TAT is 41 Working Days.
  20. Today, February 2, 2021, at 8:42 a.m. EDT the MSL TAT is 40 Working Days.
  21. In previewing ComicConnect's upcoming Event Auction #45 every comic book I reviewed has a 15% Buyer's Premium attached to the winning bid. Perhaps ComicConnect has applied this charge prior since I have not found anything of interest in the past several Event Auctions. If this issue has been discussed on the the forums my search did not reveal it. Edit: Apparently, it appears that only "Kentucky Collection" items have the Buyer's Premium attached.
  22. "Scheduled for Grading" today, January 28, 2021.
  23. My 35 comic book MSL submission has been marked "Received" since 12/10/20. Perhaps my upcoming MSL sub will be graded before it .
  24. Apparently, the turn around time for this submission is "forever" Received. Hopefully, my soon to be mailed next MSL submission will move along apace. Hope does spring eternal.
