  1. And yet, they shipped them to you. I have never ordered from TFAW and solely based on this example, I never will, even if they replace your order with NM/M copies. Of course, very likely, TFAW could not care less if I never order from them.
  2. Although I will not address the possible impact on vintage DC comic books if AT&T ceases publication of most/all current DC comic book titles, as I commented in a previous thread concerning this possibility, if nothing else, I'll monthly spend less money on comic books not purchasing such of DC titles.
  3. The last 9.4/NM I saw like that had been burned at the stake.
  4. The USPS being overwhelmed with packages, etc., is why I did not send a submission to CGC in December 2020. I will send one the week of January 18, 2021, hoping that its arrival at CGC will not be indefinitely delayed.
  5. Yes; my comment of not sending back my comic book was solely meant to commiserate with you concerning a foreign piece of plastic in a slab.
  6. Black Acre! I have a copy of issue 1 in my collection.
  7. Oops, "... I thought it too ..." I can't edit my original post.
  8. I have the same problem with a slab I received on December 14, 2020, as part of an 18 comic book MSL submission. The piece of plastic is on the bottom left front corner of the slab. I decided to keep it as is in order to not have to send it in for reholder since, despite the comic book being worth substantial money, I though it too much trouble to again ship it to CGC, etc.
  9. I believe the store did have a pull list, this was in the early 2000s. However, I only had a pull list in one store for perhaps six months as virtually every comic book was damaged as, generally, stores don't have the time to pull "9.8" copies for subscribers. Thus, I always visited the store in question on Wednesday as the new comics were placed for sale and selected my own copies. I patronized that store for about a decade. When I asked why I was being charged triple cover price for that issue they basically said "That is what we are charging."
  10. Many years ago I patronized a LCS that commenced raising prices on new releases. After I became aware of the practice since the store did so for an issue of a title I always purchased, I never visited that store again.
  11. I monthly order a few comic books from DCBS. Very rarely do I order trade paperbacks and have not ordered a limited variant in approximately 15 years. Although, like clockwork, I place my order on the first day of the "current preorder month" DCBS still cancels some comic books. Although I have not asked about the reason for cancellation in a great many years, when I did inquire it was that certain issues were shorted, thus allocated, damaged with no replacement copies available, DCBS' order was shorted, and perhaps some other reasons.
  12. Slightly less than massive. One may say, "unmassive."
  13. A package from CGC, a single ME, is today out for delivery by USPS. It is on time as CGC packages always reach me in ten calendar days from the day that CGC mails them. In this instant, CGC mailed the package on December 14.
  14. I provide my own "eye appeal" rating for the comic books in my collection: "Sucks" and "Sucks Less"
  15. I always get a submission (I submit to CGC and the USPS ) receipt from USPS even when I printed the shipping labels at home, which I ceased to do when the USPS eliminated the discount for doing such. I have not checked whether USPS reinstituted that discount.
  16. Nice! What we need is a Two-Faced Darkseid.
  17. You are very welcome and, hopefully, your submission will, in fact, rapidly move through the process, perhaps skipping some status updates, and be Finalized / Image / Shipped before long.
