  1. Spawn has, arguably, never been treated so poorly.
  2. FedEx and UPS act the same way at my location. In fact, on Saturday, October 10, '20, UPS was scheduled to deliver a package to my home. I saw the driver, on his cell phone, open my gate, without a package in hand, turn immediately around and get back in the UPS vehicle and leave. The package is rescheduled for delivery today. However, about 75% of the time UPS reschedules deliveries to me approximately three times before delivering the item. FedEx does the same about 50% of the time.
  3. All 50 comic books, "F/I/S" on Thursday, October 1, 2020. 25 comic books submission, still marked as "Received" (9/23/20) as of Friday, October 2, 2020.
  4. I, on the other hand, receive great service from USPS as opposed to FedEx. In the latter instant, except for one driver, the FedEx drivers, as I have witnessed and complained about to FedEx ad nauseam, launch all packages, including those labeled "Fragile," from the bottom of the steps, or a bit further, onto my porch. Further, anytime that I have had to file a claim with USPS for damages, approximately three times in the past decade, I have only had to provide supporting documentation once to be compensated within about a month.
  5. 25 comic books of the 50 submission as of 9/29/20, "G/QC"
  6. 50 comic book modern slow-track submission as of 9/28/20, "SFG."
  7. 50 comic book modern slow-track submission as of 9/25/20," still at "Received" (marked received on 8/24). 25 comic book modern slow-track submission, marked "Received" on 9/23/20.
  8. Perhaps I have been fortunate, I do not think so, but I have only ever been served by professional US Postal Service mail persons that take great pride in their work and that always go above and beyond to ensure that their customers timely and accurately receive their mail.
  9. I did not have a box that the 50 comic books fit in. Edit: I failed to note that the boxes are clearly labeled Box 1 of 2 and Box 2 of 2 on the outside, of course, as well as inside. Further, each box contains a notation explaining which number box it is and box 2 notes that the Packing Slip and supporting documentation are in box 1.
  10. A 50 comic book submission, two boxes, was delivered to CGC on August 18 via USPS Priority Mail; took only two weekdays to reach CGC. My submission is Modern Slow Track.
  11. I still receive emails from ComicXposure as I have the pleasure of deleting them. Over the last several years I have received at least two emails from them offering me a fifty percent discount off my order if I return as a customer. Of course, by giving one a fifty percent discount on an order they have, if possible, even less incentive to ship it.
  12. ComcXposure was "providing," if one may call it such, horrendous customer service long before the Covid-19 pandemic, as posts on this sting attest, and also shipped "new," if one may call them that, comic books that were in, being generous, (Edit: one too many uses of the word "in") VF-/7.5 condition. Of course, as you and others mention, the comic books were shipped after they became "vintage."
  13. I do not recall, but will estimate a rough time frame of such posts over a period of two to four years ago, 2016 to 2018. If others have been posted since, I do not recall reading them. A quick review of the DCBS topic in the Modern section seems to solely focus on DCBS shipping an exorbitant amount of damaged comic books, especially during the period that it was located in Memphis, TN. Thus, the relevant posts appear to be contained in other topics. Now, whether DCBS' contract with Diamond prohibits it from selling to retailers is, of course, unknown to me.
  14. A few board members over the years have noted that DCBS notified them of its intent to commence charging them regular shipping fees, as opposed to their discounted one, because they were purchasing multiple copies of the same comic book and, thus, DCBS flagged them as retailers. I do not recall if any member noted that DCBS inquired whether they were selling their DCBS comic book purchases via eBay (edited to deactivate link). Of course, since I am not affiliated with DCBS I do not know if they adhere to this stance. DCBS is a retailer selling to individual customers. Our flat rate shipping and discounts are based on a single consumer purchase. Customers selling on eBay, Amazon, or other auction sites, that are not eligible for a Diamond account, may place orders with our approval. Those customer orders are not eligible for flat rate shipping and are subject to actual shipping costs. Orders that contain multiple quantities of more than a quantity of 2 are clearly orders for resale, speculation, or group purchase, and are also not eligible for flat rate shipping and are subject to actual shipping costs. Those accounts will be noted accordingly.
  15. Indeed, the new design of the Metropolis C. and CC websites leave much to be desired.
  16. I misunderstood your post as I read it as customers being required to purchase X number of copies to be able to order the incentive from DCBS. On that topic, if I recall correctly, Mail Order Comics, based in NE; which went bankrupt several years ago and DCBS acquired its business (pending orders, customers, etc.,); did require customers to order X number of copies to get an incentive which I believe was free, apart, of course, from having to purchase X number of copies of an issue.
  17. Yes, the new price is what I commented on. However, based on what DCBS has listed on its website (https://www.dcbservice.com/products/valiant-entertainment/40), while it may have to order a certain number of a comic book issue to receive/purchase an incentive copy, it appears that a customer could simply order it without having to order X number of copies of the issue. Regardless, returning to the point of your initial post on this matter, the cost, for my comic book budget, is prohibitive. I'm not certain that the following link will function.
  18. If all comic books go digital at some point, my monthly cost for such, as others have commented, will be $0.
  19. As someone else would note, I'm too kind to do so, this is what is termed a ripoff. However, to cover another base, DCBS is entitled to attempt to ripoff customers. Perhaps DCBS' cost on this item increased. However, again, as someone else would note concerning DCBS' cost, I don't care; not my problem.
