  1. CVA appears to still be in business. Edit: CVA (https://www.cvacomics.com/)
  2. I will be very grateful if slots are added to the Elvira's House of Mystery set for Newsstand and Canadian Price Variant copies. All eleven issues and Special Issue #1 have Newsstand and Canadian Price Variant copies. Thank you. Hello @Tec-Tac-Toe, I added the slots for those which CGC has graded. Please note that the books were added to the existing slots per our normal procedure. Thank you
  3. "I don't know what I purchased, but it sounds communicable and I don't want to get sick."
  4. Thankfully, I have been practicing social distancing for years as a neighbor of mine is not one to regularly bathe. A nice fellow, otherwise.
  5. For 2016, for example, I find analysis on a possible global recession but not a possible recession specific to the USA. At this point a global recession may take hold which, of course, includes the USA. Edit: I failed to add that the folks who address such matters will, clearly, write about it as perhaps they may have few other options to stay relevant in their fields.
  6. I'm in for Bad Idea Comics as two of my LCS are on "The Chosen" list.
  7. I have been reading for many months prior to the rise of the coronavirus about a possible recession in 2020. For example see: Will We See A U.S. Recession In 2020? https://www.forbes.com/sites/gradsoflife/2020/02/25/3-ways-to-manage-the-pressure-of-hiring-right-now/#55f7955d267e A internet search shows many more such analysis, etc. Now, whether one wishes to agree with them is another matter.
  8. For those interested, and have not already read the report and/or news article, etc., an interesting coronavirus mortality forecast for the UK and USA. Report: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/media/imperial-college/medicine/sph/ide/gida-fellowships/Imperial-College-COVID19-NPI-modelling-16-03-2020.pdf Washington Post Article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/a-chilling-scientific-paper-helped-upend-us-and-uk-coronavirus-strategies/2020/03/17/aaa84116-6851-11ea-b199-3a9799c54512_story.html How this forecast may relate to the topic of this post I'll leave to others to speculate.
  9. Ha! Indeed (although someone, somewhere someone told me may do that).
  10. I store my baseball cards inside my comic books and then pack the comics tightly in long boxes. Is that bad?
  11. I purchased a few copies (I don't recall how many) of ASM 300, direct and newsstand, as did a great many people, and I have no idea what long box they are in. By the time I find them they'll be worth far less than $12.00.
  12. Apparently, Batman 89 is the First Appearance with Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen 3 being the First Full Appearance (as such things are designated).
  13. That is what I noted at some point. However, whether the listed sale price has been/is accurate is another matter. Still, I have and continue to use it as a barometer but I will also try FlipperTools.
  14. It "worked" for me a few days ago as it listed the "make offer" sale price. Granted, whether that price was correct is another matter.
  15. I have a smaller version of that poster with a cardboard backing. I added more scratches to it to make it look more authentic.
  16. Edit: (The CGC board "system" or, on my end, a typical Microsoft glitch did not allow my initial posting of my comment outside of original comment section.) Indeed. I frequently see a comic book for sale by a dealer that I was the underbidder on and which I was willing to pay x for. The dealer who may, of course, price it as they wish is asking xx for it; I will not purchase it as with my collecting focus there is always another copy of most comic books around the corner. Granted, someone else may purchase it but that is not my concern.
  17. What happens if the person delivering this item gets hunger pangs? If it is insured will its consumption be covered?
  18. I had a few pm with Nik and he was welcoming and I purchased a comic book in one of his sale threads. As for (Edit) Richard Wad, it is enjoyable.
