  1. Tom, thanks for the graphs and info. Great discussion happening here on this thread. This is my ST 71. It's from a HG collection that I have mentioned before in this thread. I refer to as the Oakleaf PH collection. Anyway, the next issue, #72, from this collection graded out as a CGC 9.0 (highest grade). This a nice copy probably would grade out 7.5 or so due to some scuffing along top edge. Not sure if came right off the stand like this when the OO purchased it or just not ideal storage conditions over the years. My point being that what I considered the greatest PH collectionI have ever seen, other than the White Mountains, only produced this mid-grade copy.
  2. Maybe they just haven't been slabbed yet? Show off, but we love it. Figured you may have s few of these HTF ST locked away. Adam, you showed a PH group picture of your White Mountains awhile back. Still have it??
  3. Thanks for all the info, Tom!!! Very, very interesting statistics. I knew the ST 71 and 74 were tough ones after 20+ years trying to find HG issues. It is amazing how that happens where certain issues can be so hard to find in grade. Low interest in sales that month or low distribution numbers for those issues. What other factors could have resulted in such low HG books on these issues?
  4. Mind blowing run of books, ZZutak. I can appreciate the time, effort and the thrill of the hunt in accumulating these terrific Atlas runs you have put together.
  5. Yeah, ST 67 is another beast to find in grade. Nice copy, Johnny. Bro' you definitely need another scanner.
  6. OK, let's try ST. # 73. Highest CGC grade is an 8.5 (owner please contact me for immediate purchase). Truly another very difficult issue to find in HG. My copy shows very nicely, but has a very light sub. crease along about 3/4 of the middle of the front cvr. has bone white pages. Still, nicest copy I have come across in 20 years.
  7. I can offer one of them for your viewing pleasure That's what we're talking about. I figured boardies may have one or both 8.0's. Mine is in a 7.0 holder.... with nice eye appeal... Nice one, Pete. Goes to show, images from 3 of the top Str.Tales PH collections, that St 83 ranks as one of the most difficult issues in HG. No 9.0, 9.2 or 9.4's on this one. At least, not right now. White Mountain ??
  8. I can offer one of them for your viewing pleasure That's what we're talking about. I figured boardies may have one or both 8.0's.
  9. Only 2 CGC 8.0's as highest graded copies of this issue. Who has 'em? White Mountain?? What a splash page. What would this OA piece go for??
  10. Some recent acquisitions. The JIM # 11 is particularly HTF

  14. Haven't seen this one posted in quite a while. Love the deep dark blue hues on this cover. No longer have this one, but its still worth showing. Hope a boardie here is enjoying it.
  15. A new acquisition recently A nifty Matt Fox story included in this issue. Such a cool cover
  16. Here are a few of my favorites Could this issue be a "blob" precursor to the movie years later. This one is a recent pickup, tough book!! Always a fan favorite.
  17. Here is the #7 . Excellent Baker art. I scanned the first opening page.
  18. My gosh, JIM # 11 CGC 8.0 went for $5,201 in the current ComicConnect auction. I had my eye on this book for a couple of months and had no chance. Just unbelievable prices for HG Atlas horror books right now.
  19. Some real beauties are making their debut appearances.
