Nice book
Those 2 top corners are the only real issues I see. I'm gonna say 7.5, with that small piece out upper-right back cover and the corner blunting.
I’ll agree and say 7.5-8.0

With that spine split I think you're looking at the 2.0 range.
Thanks for sharing.

I concur with you concurrences. 2.0

Umm...just curious where you see fading on this book???
Unless it is lighting, looks like the bottom right corner area has been subject to fading. Specifically, the buildings like a little lighter than they are supposed to.
If I am wrong, this book is probably 5.5-6.0

Amazing comic. 3.5.

4.5-5.0. The fading takes it down from being any higher imo.

I was thinking 1.5. It may not be worth getting graded though.
I agree, that stain takes it from a 2.5 to a 1.5 imo.

6.5. If you look at the top of the front cover you begin to see a good amount of color fade. You also have a good amount of spine ticks on the cover.

I finally got the last of my submissions back, alot of these were long time in the collection and somewhat forgotten.
The Batman 189 I felt was 8.0, The Batman 227 I thought was 5ish and The Our Army at war I really thought was a 8.5-9.0. Had a lot of other Marvel books go and most were strict but was pretty happy with these, especially the 189.
Congrats on the Batman 189! Was a solid book.

Hello. Last November I sent in 8 modern books for cleaning/pressing and grading. They were "received" for clean & press forever then a few days ago went (it seemed) immediately to "grading/imaging". So maybe they didn't do the clean & press? I haven't been charged yet for any of it, which is odd. Well anyway, the comics are shipped and a comic that I thought would get a minimum of maybe 7.5 or 8 showed up as a 5.5! Graders notes say "heavy bends to cover". This is the only photo I have of it before I sent it off and I'll post photos of the slab when I get it. Do you think this book was close to a 5.5?
On 3/17/2022 at 1:49 PM, malachirobertson said:I have had this same question. I sent in a Swamp Thing 21 that I thought was in relatively good shape and it came back with 5.5 saying there was a crease down the center of the cover.
This is not the right forum for this kind of post but I will still answer it anyways. What do of this happens again is take a few photos of your book before you send it off.
Then, if this happens again, you may be compensated by cgc’s customer service.
PGM Batman Adventures Mad Love (scans)
in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
