I don't think so, unless the date stamping was done by the manufacturer. Essentially, if there is a defect on the book by the manufacturer, then you won't docked for it. Unless its like an error Spawn #1 or something.

At least a 9.2. Maybe a 9.4 after C&P. Pretty good looking book!

I do not see any major defects although, IMO, the stress/color breaks by the top staple prevent this book from being a higher grade.

There can also be a 1/4" spine split or severe color break. Staples may show minor discoloration. Minor staple tears and a few slight stress lines may be present, as well as minor rust migration. Paper is tan to brown and fairly supple with no signs of brittleness. Minor interior tears at the margin may be present. Centerfold may be loose.

 

I will gladly take a 6.0-6.5 on this book.

7.5. Off-white to white pages. With a clean and press (C&P), maybe an 8.0.

However, I would not be surprised if this gets a 7.0 seeing how CGC is being harsher with its grades nowadays.

Conservatively, I would say 5.5-6.0

However, a C&P, I think you could top 6.5. The only thing that concerns me is bottom right corner crease on the front cover.

Final one of the day (or would be in violation of rules). Off-white pages. I'm thinking 8.0 pre C&P. What do you guys think?

And that is my first attempt to grade someone else's comic!

Pages seem to be cream to off-white. Can the defects of the top part of the comic be pressed out?

Prob 5.0 (still new so could be wrong). One of the things CGC does is grade the best cover, not necessarily the one on the front. In fact, when the book gets slabbed, cgc will let you know the grade of each cover. However, only the best cover grade will be what the comic grades as.
