  1. Call me crazy but I don't even like that cover. That's the one WD related comic I'm not interested in adding to my collection. +1
  2. Blech. One of the worst issues yet. The writing seems to have stalled (more like "come to a grinding halt" but I am being diplomatic here). I mean, it seems like they are just going through the motions now. The excitement of the first 48 issues is gone. The most interesting thing to happen in my opinion since issue 48 is when Kirkman gave that interview telling us a bunch of people were going to die. Then nothing happened (except for Dale getting knocked off) in the actual comic. I mean, where is this going? In the past, plot wasn't essential but we were getting a lot of character development. Now we aren't getting anything except cliffhanger after cliffhanger and that is starting to get old. I mean, the cliffhangers aren't leading anywhere! I'll continue to buy WD for a while longer- just like I'll continue to watch LaDanian Tomlinson. I just hope that both can regain their former glory.
  3. I thought the issue was alright, didnt really have any surprises or anything.
  4. Really good read. Thought there might have been a few too many splash pages. Are they trying to get Adlard some more advertisement for his OA? But this issue was really good!
  5. It makes me want to catch up on GL. I don't read many superhero comics anymore but I am digging the Sinestro Corps War.
  6. Thanks! This makes me feel more at ease. I was really worried about a tv adaption. Now I am only "slightly" worried...
  7. I posted them in the mixed thread category. Have a look over there if you'd like. I was told I could reference my sales thread here since many people on this forum won't check the mixed age forum. Thanks. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3430054&fpart=1
  8. VERY INTERESTING!!!! I can't wait for the issue to come out....
  9. Don't wait another year. These really should be read on a monthly basis. I have ben reading the floppies since 58 or 59 and it is better this way, IMO.
  10. I actually was able to get a copy at cover. Wow! Read it and it was good. The preview in Walking Dead helped me decide to pick it up. I will get #2. Looks promising.
  11. Most in my lcs were damaged. Not wavy but had a lot of spine creases. I usually try to pull the best copy of a book but this time it was tough.
  12. They have to or they risk losing Andrea and she is too valuable.
  13. Michonne and Rick's conversation blew my mind. I wasn't expecting THAT! It also seemed out of character. Everything else was a little bit of a letdown. Probably some of the most interesting stuff happened in the first 5 pages and that was already released! Damn spoilers...
  14. If that's true, there is going to be a riot! That's what I'm thinking
  15. Rick and the phone was very interesting and I wished they had explored that a little more. Stuff can still be done with him but you are right, he is getting stale.
  16. Yeah, for the series to grow, Rick needs to be taken off center stage for a while. I like him because he is imperfect and makes a lot of wrong decisions but he is getting a little stale. He could die. He could be ousted from the group. He could get lost. He could get taken again. If Carl kills him, I would be surprised. Not shocked though. I just think that if Carl is going to assume a leadership position, he needs Rick around for at least 10 yrs. The kid needs some meds though.
  17. Ungh. The priest's dialog was so bad physically hurt me. Still, I can't wait to read the rest!
  18. I'm sure it's hard for Charlie to get a lot of detail drawing on 3x5 note cards. I wish he hadn't switched from 8.5x11, but the deadlines were looming
  19. And that's what I have a problem with. She didn't sign up to be a creditor. A car supplier accepts credit risk since they are selling on credit. She didn't sell IH anything. She let them sell her stuff for a fee. Her money should be set aside. No. And I realize that it could happen and I could make mistakes. I would just hope that I wouldn't repeat them as it appears IH has. Correct, it is not that egregious. However, when it happens more than once, it gets a lot closer to being theft. They should charge whatever is appropriate and enables them to do their job correctly. If by charging too little they can't conduct their business properly, then they are at fault. I am sure they are nice guys. Like I said, I had a great experience with them earlier this year. Coming on this board and "manning up" may make me reconsider using them in the future. I am just saying that this was a huge mistake and it bothers me that it was made on more than one occasion.
  20. Rich H, I would strongly disagree. Since it happened before, they should have taken extra precaution in not spending consigners' money to pay their bills. If they went bk, the consigners could end up as creditors and they never should be. After the first incident, the Reeds should have set up differwnt accounts to make sure this never happened again. Using other people's money to pay the bills is just wrong. When they spent that old lady's money, they apparently did so to "keep the light on." They were lucky enough to keep the business running but if they weren't able to, that lady's money would have been gone. That is why it is unacceptable to me. They made the mistake once before but I am a little less forgiving since this was the second REPORTED case. I am not trying to crucify them on the boards, I am just explaining my thoughts.
  21. I just watched the video.. So clearly there are some problems here. for one.. she should be paid secondly, if I was Roger Reed, I'd can the guy who said "this is all the money we have in the personal account right now". As a businessman, such things should never be said. It's sad to see this happen.. What I wonder is why the consignor didn't go the route of legal action, which would be the fastest way for her to be paid what she is owed. On another level.. item sells for 24k and Illustration House only takes less than 10% is an incredible bargain.. Ha ha. It isn't that much of a bargain if the items sells for 24k and you get a little over HALF! Legal action will bring a swift resolution but it might not get her money if it brings about a bk and illustration house doesn't have enough assets. The way it is going now though, it looks very bad. Someone mention Madoff before and it is true. This is beginning to look like a ponsai scheme, unfortunately. I am sure it didn't start that way but that's where it ended up.
