I don't need mayhem and death in every issue. It just feels like Kirkman puts stuff on the table and hasn't been fleshing it out. In the latest issue, he introduced something with Abraham and it seems like it could be cool but it also just feels like just another idea floated out there. I guess I feel like something interesting is going to happen really soon but it also feels like a lot of stuff isn't going to get addressed and we will be left hanging. Back in the day, I used to love The Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan but the series became too convoluted and the writer lost control of the series. I really hope this doesn't happen to The Walking Dead. I really love this series and I was complaining before about the pacing. I thought it was going to start picking up but it seems to have slowed again. I can deal with a slower pace if it feels like there is a purpose. Right now TWD seems directionless and that concerns me.

It just seems like he has been building for a long while. He touches on some things that get me interested but hasn't been bringing them to fruition. We will see.

I agreed with this for pretty much the entire "Hunters" storyline and the first few issues of this arc but I am starting to get back into it now. The story is finally moving again.

That really got me as well. Me too.......and the fact that we all cared so much about these characters really is a testament to Kirkman's writing! During this particular moment my mouth literally dropped open and I just stared at the page for several minutes. If that's not a OMFGBBQ!!! moment then I don't know what is! I seriously considered not reading anymore WD when I read that issue. Steve talked me out of it (thumbs u I actually used to own the original art to the page where that happens. At first it seemed like a pivotal moment in the characters lives, but the longer I owned it, it just made me feel sad inside. So I let it go. Glad I ended up with it.

Anyone know why?

I would think that Michonne would get with one of them first. She seems like the one more interested in intimacy and I don't think that other guy is strong enough for her.
