  1. Paypal only. Free shipping for purchases above $100.00 in the US. $7.00 outside the US. Going to be selling a bunch of Horror books mostly middle grade books and a few higher grade slabbed books. Should be around 35-40 books. I'll start with the slabbed books first.
  2. I'm scanning books now. I don't have an exact time yet but shooting for 7:00 PST. Should be around 30+ books 3 slabbed books. Mostly DC horror with a few other books mixed in.
  3. Hi BIrd, point being we've had different times of historical censorship over the years to "saveguard others". A couple famous highlights were during the 50's with comic books and during the 80's with music and horror movies. I think it would be beneficial if people watched some of the previous debates. There is an age old debate of what you watch.... will MAKE you a (insert term here). Also reminds me of the famous killer that used Halloween II as an excuse for killing someone. Whether its horror movies, Rock n Rock, or video games its a long standing argument. One thats well worn and worth reading about if we are to move forward. Best (And to the mods, if I've gotten to political kindly let me know and I'll remove my posts)
  4. Ever read Seduction of the Innocent by Dr. Wertham? Ever listen to the PMRC Senate Hearings in the 80's with Tipper/ Al Gore any others? Ever watch debates with David Walsh regarding Grand Theft Auto and its influence among kids? I would especially watch some of the PMRC Senate heatings. There's a lot of overlapping terrritory here. A few interviews to watch Dee Synder, John Denver, and Frank Zappa Best
  5. Today I read a Dr Suess article from a NY Times author about how Pepe Le Pew adds to Rape culture. I'm thinking to myself Dr Wertham and Tipper Gore would be proud.
  6. Finally got a decent copy of this. VF/NM will do for now.
  7. MINDHUNTER on Netflix. Amazing acting. Love the GI Joe episode
  8. There were strong repercussions 35+ years ago. You could get arrested for producing and singing profane music. There was some wildly profane stuff made in small nightclubs coming out as early as the late 20's and early 30's. The MPAA was far more restrictive in the mid 80's on movies. Not here to judge, just here to point out the interesting history. Society follows certain moral trends of the current zeitgeist. Sometimes we have an overcorrect. Sometimes we have people that want to push back. It's understandable.
  9. I think if E-bay "banned" sales of Song of the South I think we would be talking about that also.
  10. Was solid but felt incomplete. Was hoping for a bit more. Like they should have split that into 2 episodes and added a bit more time. Felt like the story had a few gaps. Looks like Quicksilver may of been just a big tease. Maybe SS3 isn't the best book to sink thousands of dollars into.
  11. It's quite easy to remove these listings. Sounds like political lip service. Don't worry I hear she has her top men working on it right now. There must of been over 75 copies that sold today, and hundreds upon hundreds of listed copies I guess we'll see if she follows through, but I really doubt it. In a week or two people will get outraged about another topic. Companies should really stop reading Twitter. Ego+Crazy+Outspoken=trouble. As a side note, as an investment its a poor one. I would just relist and cash in.
  12. When I make a trade, or sell a book to buy another, I think to myself, which one is easier to replace. That usually answers any internal dilemma.
  13. It's going to depend on what collections I'm going to see this weekend. It will likely be Saturday evening. I'll have an exact time tomorrow night.
  14. Going to be selling more doubles this weekend. With maybe a slabbed copy or two. Trying to make more space.
  15. There must be over 150 other copies on E-bay. On rare occasion you'll get someone on E-bay who goes over the line. Relist it with a slightly different name. I remember having an occasional problem with some underground comics. Not so much anymore. If that person from E-bay really thought it through, they would then need to ban 10's of thousands of WWII comics and books.
  16. I was going to post this last night. I got about 2 or 3 ideas. I was actually willing to go around $600. When I saw it at around $615 with hours to go I knew I wasn't going to stand a chance. Sold for $850

  18. Just watched. Production value was clearly the best ever for a CW show. Story not bad. It's above expectations. I'll keep watching
