  1. You are correct. I made sure the Operations Manager knew what to look for by sending both pictures and text.
  2. I will say that after talking to our Operations Manager the other day regarding this problem, he went to the encapsulation area where there were a lot of slabbed books, and could not find 1 book with a warped holder.
  3. I have sent our Operations Manager multiple scans of different books and different submissions, and at least 1 book should be sitting on his desk Monday, which is when he told me he will be reviewing everything. So, I do not want to say anything until then.
  4. Something like this should be brought to our attention as soon as you get the book or books back from CGC. Send customer service pictures and ask how you should proceed. I can't give just one answer, as we would need to do this on a case by case basis. I will be in touch with our operations manager after he has received some of these, and the team examines them. After that, I may be able to provide more answers.

  9. This book is being sent back to us. Upper management was made aware of this problem. It will be inspected very closely by our Operations Manager and vintage graders will most likely see it too. Then, it is to be pressed and regraded. He was in the encapsulation area today inspecting all submissions checking for this problem, and found no evidence of it. He also stated that nobody has sent any books back except the ones that I helped people with on the forum. So, I do not believe this is a widespread problem based on the feedback I have been given from the team, as other vintage graders have also inspected books that have been encapsulated.
  10. I have pinned it at the top of the newbie section. We have quite a few pinned threads in comics general already. There's not many pinned in the newbie area so, the thread sticks out pretty good.
  11. I am sorry that this has happened to you. I see that you mentioned going to CS. Be sure to supply them with pics of the side view, as well as the spine ticks in the same spot, and explain why that is a problem. You could mention that the operations manager is aware that some people are having a problem with this on the forum. 1 person is sending a book back for him to personally inspect before it is pressed and regraded. Please send me the tracking number when this ships, and a copy of this post. Be sure to complete the submission form before the 14 day window expires. Submit as a Mechanical Error (Holder defect) After you complete the form, a prepaid shipping label will be sent to you through our website. (not by e-mail).
  14. @MattM CS Could you arrange for this customer to put the ME to the ATTN of the cards operations manager on the packing slip, and have the customer send you the tracking number when it ships to us? You could then send it to the ops manager, and ask him to have someone find the package when we receive it and expedite this.
