  1. Hi guys After CS received a complaint, I called the person, and spoke with him for a while. He assured me that there was some misinformation, and seemed upset about what was being said. BTW, he is a customer, and was present during this purchase in the 70's. So, the thread is gone, and please do not start another one. Mike
  2. Hi 0 post members are not allowed to send private messages. Seems I just approved your first post, you will now be able to do so.
  3. For autograph authentication, it costs $25 per autograph. To my knowledge, there is no limit in the amount of signatures that can be authenticated on a book. For autograph grading, there is a limit of 2 autographs per book. Here is some more details regarding this. Can I get my autograph(s) graded? Yes. If you would like your autograph(s) to be graded by JSA, select the “JSA Autograph Grading” option when filling out the CGC online submission form. The fee is $25 per comic book, with discounts available for paid members. Only comics with two or fewer autographs are eligible to receive an autograph grade. (For comics with two autographs, the autograph grade will reflect the combined grade of both autographs.) The autograph grade will be printed on the back of the CGC x JSA label. There is also a prescreen option for autograph grades. If the autograph meets or exceeds your minimum grade, your autograph grade will be printed on the CGC x JSA label; if it does not, the autograph grading fee will be refunded less a $9 reject fee. Please note that the full JSA autograph authentication fees will still apply. For a complete list of CGC Comics services and fees, go here. Note: Autograph grading is NOT available for submissions of comics with witnessed signatures. Why is there a two-autograph maximum for autograph grading? When autograph grading is selected, the comic receives a single autograph grade. Attempting to blend the autograph grade across three or more autographs could add ambiguity to the grade.
  4. I believe that is correct. RIP Axe Elf.
  5. Hi You can submit this as a Mechanical Error. (Label defect) Fill out an online submission form by selecting the mechanical error option. After the form is completed, a prepaid shipping label will be sent to you through our website. (not by e-mail) Be sure to write the problem on the packing slip. We will fix this and send it back at no cost to you.
  6. Please PM me the submission number and your customer id number.
  7. Hi This can be returned to us as a Mechanical Error (holder defect) provided it is done so within 14 days after receiving the package. After 14 days, the ME option will no longer be available, and the book would need to be submitted as a reholder. You would need to fill out an online submission form and select the mechanical error option holder defect. After completing the form, a prepaid shipping label will automatically sent to you through our website. (not by e-mail). We will fix this and send it back to you at no cost.
  8. I recommend starting a thread in the Ask CGC section as well. I was going to move this but, I had already approved it, and the customer service team might not notice it. Also, by leaving it here, members are able to make a comment regarding this. Mike
  9. So, the census updates every Tuesday? Maybe Wednesday. Everything that ships out Friday will show up then. So, I am hoping this will update then as well. If it is not showing up for you on the OSF by Wednesday, let me know and I will try to get it added ASAP.
  10. Did you miss the part where these are now being separated in the census? (BTC Edition C and BTC Edition D)
  11. Here is what I was told: I've looked into it and here's what the story is- Both books appear to be identical front-and-back, with the exception being that one of them is embossed. When the graders get a copy of the book and they see the image on their computer screen of what the book is supposed to look like, it appears to be the same. To further complicate the issue, both books have the same UPC code (which the graders often use as a failsafe to ensure they have the correct variant) on the back cover. So there was no indication for us previously that there were 2 identical-appearing versions. Both books state that they are Big Time Collectibles exclusives, but neither one states that they are exclusive to any convention. So while the "flat cover" version is labeled in our database as "Big Time Collectibles Edition C", I have now added the embossed version, and it will be named "Big Time Collectibles Edition D". So from this point forward the two versions will be labeled as such by CGC. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I hope that this satisfies everyone.
  12. Thank you. I will let you know if anything else is needed.
  13. @forbiddenwon Can I get front and back scans of both books?
  14. From a senior grader: the book exhibited signs of cleaning based on the whiteness of the cover/pages and the texture and smell of the paper. There may have been a couple of other indicators as well.
  15. @Okguy Going forward, I do not want to see this kind of behavior. nearmint's post was not out of line. A correction was in order, as there is a very big difference between a collection and a pedigree designation. Other posters were only trying to explain the difference and help you out. In return, you made snide remarks. Consider this a notice without the paperwork. If it happens again, it will result in posting restrictions and possible ban from certain forums.
  16. Hi I will check with the graders and get back to you. Mike
  17. Hi I recommend starting a thread in this forum. A customer service rep will be able to assist you with any concerns. https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/23-ask-cgc/ Mike
  18. As it has been said, you can't drop books off to us. Sorry.
  19. Here is what I was told: what I’m seeing is a marvel chip out of the right corner of the purple subby box, and the long chip below that is actually a marvel tear. That paper was always present but was pressed flat. The interior pages fan out a bit to the right, likely from pressing the book flat. The image makes everything look white and blended together, but I think it looks the same after grading as it did before pressing. Nothing here seems out of place. Several of the high value team graded this book, so I doubt we missed anything.
  20. I will e-mail the database specialist, and someone from management, and see if we can get this straightened out. @forbiddenwon
  21. Hi You do not need to do anything. USPS delivers all of our packages to us. We do not ever go to the PO, FedEx or UPS to pick up packages. After we receive a package, I believe it takes about a week or so for a submission to get entered into our system. Mike
