  1. This is not the reason the thread was moved. If that was the case, I would move the AI thread out of comics general. The movie forum is getting too many non comic related topics posted. I will remove some of them over time. (as I have time).
  2. I am moving this to the water cooler, as the sub forum in Comics General is for Comics related - Movies, TV, Video games only.
  3. I am glad to hear that you were able to get a ME. No, you will not be charged. In most all cases, it will be a straight reholder. If a book was damaged in some way, it would be regraded. However, that rarely happens.
  4. Technically, the ME window had already expired 14 days after the customer received the submission back the first time. So, everything has to be done manually on our end if there is still a problem with the submission the second time.
  5. The url is currently in process of being updated to point here so both forums will appear: CGC Forums - Cards - CGC Comic Book Collectors Chat Boards (cgccomics.com)
  6. Did the OSF allow you to submit it the second time as a mechanical error? Usually, you have to get approval for the second time, as the 14 day window has expired. If it was approved, you would then submit it as a reholder, and we would change it manually to a ME after you have sent us the packing slip number. We would send you a prepaid shipping label as well.
  7. Posted on 9/12/2023 CGC Cards thanks its submitters for being patient during website upgrades and continuing to send in high-caliber cards for best-in-class grading and ReHolder services. All your cards, all in one place! CGC Cards™ is thrilled to introduce a single, streamlined website and online submission form for all TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards. In addition, collectors and dealers are now able to submit sports cards to CGC Cards’ offices in London and Munich. The combination of the Certified Collectibles Group’s grading services for TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards into one division — CGC Cards — has been a tremendous success. In just two months, more than 400,000 cards have been submitted to CGC Cards, including some of the hobby’s rarest and most iconic cards! CGC Cards offers many collector-friendly upgrades, such as more affordable prices, the ability to submit without a paid membership, an industry-standard Gem Mint 10 grading scale and a sleek new label that puts the spotlight on the cards. ReHolder special extended through October 2023 Many submitters have taken advantage of CGC Cards’ $5 ReHolder special for cards valued under $10,000, loving not just the new grading scale and label but also the impressive prices realized for reholdered cards. Due to the popularity of the special, CGC Cards is extending it through October! To qualify for the discounted ReHolder fee, the submission form must be completed by October 31, 2023, and delivered to CGC Cards by November 20, 2023. All cards submitted for ReHolder with a Gem Mint 9.5 grade automatically convert to the CGC Cards Gem Mint 10 grade. Many of these cards now graded Gem Mint 10 by CGC Cards have gone on to sell for significantly higher prices. Keep reading for examples! Ready to submit? For more on how to submit, go here, and to get started, simply create an account at the level that’s right for you. A free account is all you need, but paid members enjoy even lower grading fees. If you already have an account, go to the newly streamlined online submission form. A few minor enhancements are continuing to be made on the websites, which may affect certain resources. Online submissions can still be made as updates continue, and turnaround times will not be impacted. Questions? 8. The only thing that I can do to give the journals more visibility, is create a journals forum that is the same format as all of the other forums. If a majority is on board with this, I will make it so.
  9. Hi I recommend starting a thread in this section. A customer service rep answers questions there daily. Mike https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/99-ask-cgc-trading-cards/
  10. All Marvel labels have now been assigned to ASM #25 7/23 and its many variants. The labels should show up on the OSF after the next sync.
  11. The editing of posts is set at either forever or 12 years. However the actual editing of posts time is 2 years. Dena and I tried everything to make it longer.
  12. This is what I was told: The blacked out 10 cents came first, then the regular 12 cents came second. This is our rationale as to why we chose to do it that way.
  13. Thanks. I saw that earlier this morning. I will send all of the examples if needed, after I receive a reply from the message I sent last night.
  14. I have sent a note to the team regarding this. I hope to have a final decision on Monday.
  15. Yes. This is confirmed in the last sentence below.
  16. This has been moved to mixed. The newest book allowed in GSB is December 1984. No exceptions.
  17. The signing was done in July, however, due to the volume of submissions, he was not able to complete all of the remarques at that same time. There are currently 50 remarques still with the artist and once we receive those back, we will get them completed and shipped out ASAP.
  18. Like I said last night, I will try to find out why the remarques were not done at the signing. I will also see what I can do to keep people here more informed as to when signings happen.
  19. Actually, I was asked about the signing. Nobody asked me about the remarques. I wasn't even aware that there was a remarques session.
  20. I will try to find out why these were not done at the signing.
  21. Looking into this more, I have confirmed the card forum will remain here. This is all of the info I will be posting. Any unanswered questions should become clear after the merger. With the CTC/CSG merger we are combining all the card sites into one, which also means we are merging the Chat Boards as well. Because cards is incorporated under comics, it will go down as well. When they come back up we will have one card section and one comics section.
