Hey guys I've been a member for awhile and have interacted with a couple of members here and bought some books but never formally introduced myself. Been collecting since the early 80's ever since my stepfather introduced me to comics shortly after marrying my mom. Never took a break from collecting except for a couple of years in the 90's when I was a broke college student. Currently looking to distil my collection of over 17,000 comics down to specific keys and runs. Glad to be among like minded collectors.

According to my CLZ App, 17,290 and counting... still have a couple hundred I need to enter. Ranging from Silver to Modern. Don't think i have any Golden age books. JUST started grading books last year... so far I have about 15 slabs I think?

Off the top of my head, I have every issue of Ultimate Spiderman Vol.1 and Every issue of The Boys including the various spinoffs. I collected those as they were published. Last year I finished three series that I had long wanted, Wolverine limited series Vol.1, The Punisher Limited Series Vol.1 and The Dark Knight Returns... working on Watchmen right now.

If you're interested in selling any issues individually, I'd be interested in a few. -

PGM Daredevil #9 (Vol.2 first Echo)
skillzdadirecta replied to skillzdadirecta's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Thanks... about what i thought. I may just give this way with another book. -
This is my second copy of this book, I got it in a batch of Dardevil comics from and auction and was surprised by why it went to so cheap. Then I got the book and noticed some water damage specifically on the back cover. I have a copy that's in much better condition that I have to find... somehow I neglected to specify what box it was in when I entered it into my app. What say you board?

There's a Claremont signing coming up that he's talking about. -
For a long time this was the oldest comic in my collection... bought this for a buck fifty 30 years ago. I've since bought a few more books that are a few years older but this one holds a special place in my heart. Always loved this cover.

PGM Animal Man # 5
skillzdadirecta replied to skillzdadirecta's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Thanks for the scores fellas... not bad for a book I bought on a whim 35 years ago. Definitely submitting this one... I'd be happy with anything 8.5 and above to be honest. -
@JollyComics what's your pay pal info?

PRICE CUT ON SUPER CHEAP BATMAN #655.
skillzdadirecta replied to Mike22's topic in Copper / Modern Age Only
@Mike22 were any of these cleaned and pressed prior to slabbing? -
Another book from the PC and one of two Animal Man comics I've bought in my life. Picked this up because I really liked the Brian Bolland cover and the Wile E. Coyote inspired story inside wasn't bad either.

1st Cloak and Dagger. I had this book as a kid but had LONG lost it to the ravages of time so when I saw this in an auction last year, I jumped on it. I was happy as I got it for a pretty good price but was horrified when the book arrived. Whoever put it in the bag, put it in wrong and the bottom corner was folded in the bag giving it a LONG color breaking crease. Before that, the book was probably in the high 8's low nines... now? I'm not so sure. What say you?

Thanks for the grades fellas... about what I estimated as well. Probably not gonna slab this, maybe try to get some signatures or something. I got this for a pretty good price for this grade range.
