  1. They have name dropped several times that Rick has a brother named Jeff who is unaccounted for... they have? when? i must have missed this... It's very subtle each time. I remember Lori talking to Carl about him once before too, but I don't know which issue. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining this, I took a glance through the early issues. The 1st time was in issue #3.
  2. Thanks guys! I'm real happy with it.

  4. I just got this about a week and 1/2 ago from a fellow boardie (WEBHEAD).
  5. So I went to take pictures of my new FF #1 and I realized I never posted my HULK #1 here.
  6. I'd be happy with a small military group of survivors. Say a group of 20 soldiers who escaped the major cities they were intially guarding. That would be consistent with his statement, but more realistic. EVERYBODY with military training wouldn't have been wiped out.
  7. Gotta love the double covers While I haven't been crazy about that character, that is a very cool cover. (thumbs u
  8. Well they've sold at least 100 or so. They didn't hide the e-mail addresses of other people when they sent out the alerts. I briefly looked through and saw a couple e-mail addresses that look like board members names here. Oh, and a spawnbatman e-mail address which I believe is EvilAsh's eBay name. I thought you hated the cover Yep, that was me, and I absolutely hate that cover! No doubt about it. However, I'm a nutty completist, so I still had to order one Sorry to call you out, but I couldn't resist. I saw your Adlard Secret Invasion book on eBay and that's how I knew your username. I think I remembered it because I was like "Spawn...really?" Yeah, I'm a WD completist too as I ordered a copy. I'm hoping the blank side will be good for a sketch. The image they drew will live out it's days hidden against the backing board.

  10. If you're talking about the pages AFTER the letters page, it was a joke. Completely "non-canon" using the characters Eric Larsen drew on the #50 variant. #76 is going to pick up right where the issue ended BEFORE the letters page. (thumbs u
  11. Now I want it slabbed and sig series...it's my first published letter! are you going to be in baltimore? i want to add you to my SS list for this issue! That would be awesome!!!
  12. I asked my LCS to hold me a copy way back when it was announced. I don't buy variants so I kept checking what they were charging for other variants since then, and $50 seems par for the course with them on the 1:50 variants. ($25 for 1:25 and $10 for 1:10.) When I saw the book today it was a solid 9.8 so I didn't mind paying the $50. (Plus, I had a gift certificate so my parents actually bought it )
  13. That was awesome!!! I can't wait for more! Thanks for the link.
  14. Looks like he's starting his own "Top Cow" to distance himself a little. More power to him. As long as WD and Invincible keep coming out on time I'm ok with him taking a more businessman like approach to his career.
  15. Name of seller says it all "cdpaoli = AVOID" Do a board search if you don't know the name. Add it to the robojo & lexerific list.
  16. I have a friend who brought another friend with us to WWPhilly this year. This other friend has a friend working on the WD tv show. (Don't want to use his name on a public forum, and possibly get his friend in trouble.) The guy who went to WWPhilly with us told us how the first episode will go since he was able to actually read the -script. He said the -script for the 1st episode is sixty some pages long. If what he told me is true which I believe it is, the show is going to be awesome!
  17. #75 will definitely be out in 2 weeks on time. They'll have it ready for SDCC so they can sell the variants. On a sided note, Invincible is sporting 3 staples for the last two issues as well. Maybe Image as a whole is changing to this format??
  18. And they are flip books....the opposite side is Invincible, also exact except with Serbian word balloons. They did a run of 1 through 13 starting in late 2004. #1 through 13 had a print run of 500 copies. #2 variant cover had a run of only 50 copies. #10 variant cover had a run of only 100 copies. For example here is #6 Front and back Some of them have bonus pinups and stuff too. I remember some cartoons that were Zombie Calvin & Hobbes too. Here are some pics I took for a sales thread awhile back of some pinups.
  19. With the book being limited to 3000 copies, I'm sure these will be on eBay for at least $10 bucks a pop. I think $5 extra to have someone we know can tell the difference and pick out 9.8 copies is a great deal.
  20. I like Adlard's interior work better than Moore's. It has a darker tone that better fits the series. Moore's interiors were sometimes cartoony. However, Tony Moore's covers have always been superior in my opinion.
  21. Nope. You are definitely off track. Davidson is not the Governor of Woodbury. See below.
  22. in a hat!!! Hopefully, you'll be going to a convention soon to have them fix that so you don't have to mail it. Congrats on the book though. And congrats on the sale too. I saw you sold an 8.5 SS on eBay.
