Unfortunately I still want to complete my run. That part stinks when books like the 1st appearance of Talia or Batgirl have now entered the next tier or two up and are 4 figure books.

I'm still working on my 500-600 run before they get out of range. Stupid killer Croc and Vantreliquist keys spiked for lord knows what reason. 400-500 I have the keys, but need to upgrade 411.

I was too tough on the lower grade. What a tough final round, the margin for error was near zero!

What a tight final round. I just wasnt sure how badly the defects would hit the lower grade book as I tend to be more conservative with staining. But overall, proud to have been in such a tight race and 4th out of a little over 100 isnt too shabby. Thank you @cgcmike

The boards are without a doubt a tiny fraction of this hobby/community. I do however believe that there are quite a few here who are positive influencers who do things FOR the hobby with no expectation of getting something in return.

And I suppose that's what I was getting at with the "destroying" part. I am familiar with all of those other things you mentioned, but do they have the direct effect on the monetary side of the hobby like these people do?

CGC didn't feel that way when people like you helped them launch. CGC is without a doubt the industry standard in graded books, but customer service is their Achilles heal. Didn't need a price increase, didn't need a discount decrease.

Did they do away with the dealer discount?

Maybe a better way of phrasing it. But I look at some as being here only to see what they can gain from it.
