No problem im scanning way too much here. I have to keep deleting old images and such. And this really going to be a mix of sorts, so there should be some interesting stuff here. I am sure that going through the pages, people will point things out. My grading shouldnt be part of that though

Posting books today, it will be a large mix of SA to present. A couple of nice key issues, and some of my own collection. I will also have some limited series and other runs listed. This will be my biggest sales thread to date ! Most books will be priced below guide and there may even be some special treats.

Now to how bidding would work. I vote public, no PM. And you guys should probably only allow people who have at least x amount of posts to bid, and or completed transactions. Good call FD

Oh boy, Private Auctions with hidden bids, anonymous bidders and the potential for rampant shiling - hey it is just like EBay. I thought the same thing... I like the way the forums are now, and really dont see the need for the change. Turning this place into E-bay would suck. If you guys do this, I wouldnt allow anything other than public bids. VIA PM's is just shady bizniz. And you cant say, well you are a newb so you cant do the auction style. So the idea of the fixed price is what I have grown to love. I would hate to see this place go sour from shills and such. And im not saying most people here would do that sort of thing, but havent board members been outed in the past for shilling for other people ? It could be fun to have 1 night a month/week as auction night, but my concerns lay in the cons, and con artist. I guess im kinda torn , the idea sounds fun but JC is making some good points also. IDK just my thoughts.

A seperate section would be the most logical. Allow each seller no more then 2 auctions at one time. Have possible buyers use the with the highest bid, sure the thread could be a few pages but you only need to look at the last one. Make no reserves or BIN's and now there is just the possibility of shills. Which would be extremely dissapointing.

What would a Flash 217 double cover go for ? The first Neil Adams storyline with the GL/GA backup. I have a real nice copy of this , though I paid over guide the inside cover is an easy 9.4/9.6, outside 9.0/9.2 . I was considering slabbing and selling, but I dont know alot about the double covers.

Huh? Shouldn't that be precisely what you're doing? Guaranteeing the grade and that the book is not restored? Or have I logged onto eBay by mistake? Nothing in life is guaranteed. And if it were E-bay you wouldnt be seeing me.

Raw and GPA are apples and oranges. By selling a book using GPA pricing you are pretty much giving a guarantee that the books selling WILL DEFINATELY grade out to what it was quoted at, and that no RESTORATION is done to the book. Basically making you a walking liability. If someone sells a book quoting the GPA price for a 9.2 and the book gets a 9.0 someone is gonna be very unhappy with the seller. The difference between a 9.2 and a 9.0 can be quite significant in GPA. So then what ? Does the seller say "oh im sorry, my grading sucks and I am prepared to eat $200.00" ? I highly doubt it, but you never know. GPA is good for CGC books and a "ballpark" of what a raw book "could" be. That is my 2 cents , I would not buy a book for GPA unless it was graded.

Seriously I am always amazed with this board. Now I will end up asking someone how to do this. Sorry I am a little off with this stuff.
