  1. So, as much as I LOVE speculation. I decided to actually ASK what was happening. Here is what I know. 1. They did not go, were not going bankrupt. 2. The Beckett move is looked at as a great thing for the company and the hobby. 3. They are relocating to another state, and that move is why they have experienced a delay in TATs. So I GUESS. MAYBE.. They are just doing what they said they are.
  2. You should probably do, some type of research before posting. they are relocating their operations and it's probably not in their best interests to try and wedge in on-site grading while relocating your entire company across the country.
  3. They are preparing to move. How would you have the resources to do both?
  4. Imagine being so salty about a comic character that you make a thread about how much you dislike them. Without...Ever...Reading.... His....Book...
  5. That's terrible, sorry to hear that. And I am with you on conspiracy theories.. Good Luck!!
  6. I have the same experience, but with the companies reversed. I am sure they would scrub the rejection fee though. Either way, good luck, and please share your results.
  7. Specifically states, lizard people will be denied.
  8. I know some of you do not venture into the wild west AKA Comics General. But there is a discussion among long time submitters that CGC is currently irrationally tight on grading. What this is due to? Who knows.. I would guess that the change in modern graders would be one part, but I know that in general people have said those tweener books stopped going in the submitters favor. So I am not at all surprised to read the results. I have found, if anything company X has been consistent with any books of mine they have graded, and 95% of my books fell at or about where I expected. The biggest issue isnt that the two companies grades aren't the same, but that you can submit the same book over and over and get different results each time. This is why people are crying for consistency. I would bet the books in this thread could be cracked out and graded on site and get the same grade as company X or better.
  9. Never got a 9.9, my old partner had, but it was on Batman: The Cult. But yes, I feel at this point I cant pull 9.8s all day.
  10. 50-60% is absolutely horrible IMO. And a recipe for disaster if you are running a business off these books.
  11. I have never pre screened. And I have been about 90% accurate with 9.8s over the course of about 8 consistent years. Just the past year has there been a change, and it's not one or two random submitters, it's a bunch of guys who submit primarily 75-current books, and frequently.
  12. Then you are in the boat with me, they are talking about new X-Men
  13. I know, I am just letting everyone drag me for being such a dope.
  14. In that case, I retract my statement. And this era of X-Men was mediocre at best
  15. Agreed. This period of X-Men is a gold mine waiting to be found.
  16. His opinion is trash, his posts are trash, his opinion is trash. I have this bag of trash figured out, I just enjoying flaring him up. He's a joke and does nothing for this forum other than stir the pot.
  17. Based off the current grading trend of moderns, it may be worthwhile to switch over. On average a -10% on a 9.8 graded by Voldy is still more than a 9.6 by CGC
  18. Still way super tight on moderns. The 9.6s are really flowing
