  1. If you saved the first email where eBay notifies you that you won the book, most of the time the seller's full mailing address is listed in there. Don't see how he really can at this point. Bad rep from the start, bad til the end. Hasn't really changed his ways in observing the rules. He seems to ignore absolute everything until it's a response to a thread only that he's started.
  2. Who did that? I just click and edit the title to say my thread is closed so the thread DOES NOT get bumped and take away from other people's sales. You can't do that if the thread is older than 3 days. It was still a move on dekeuk's part, though. I think some of us are getting pretty close to putting him on the probation list by vote for pulling this stuff despite him being obviously a veteran at selling here...
  3. I would not worry about this because Clink requires a commission price and eBay gets you in auction fees in comparison to here being free to list. If people hike up prices here, well, the buyers like me are going to wait them out until they discount to a reasonable price (which should be done first anyway...) To all: If sellers continue to ignore the rules of listing elsewhere and whatnot, well, I think it's wise to say so publicly in seller's thread so we can get an idea of how many warnings a seller has gotten, so we can start polling in the probation thread on whether so and so should be marked. I completely understand people like BrianR wanting to be polite about it and not legitimately bump a thread, but there should be a record of this (in a way) as it's upon us, the members, to self-police the marketplace. Please PM GACollectibles if you have to, as he's charitably taken upon the role for us if we need a public face.
  4. Well, please let either the seller or us know so this sort of thing doesn't happen. The repeat offenders do need to be held accountable, I thought. Right?
  5. IDW sure is taking their sweet time with the Marvel reprints (called "Classic G.I. Joe"). I don't think they'll get to volume 6 before the movie comes out.
  6. As usual, kudos to Foolkiller. This Philly-Phoenix connection is nothing short of smooth. Looking forward to increasing your kid's college fund again in the future, Brian!
  7. Is that the same one Vincent had on the FBC show the other day?
  8. If it wasn't for bghkoyama's superb packaging, my G.I. Joe slab might've gotten punctured by the USPS. Nice hole, postal workers! Kudos to Brian!
  9. I know who you're talking about. He hasn't bumped the thread since and I don't know if he's been online since your discovery. My recommendation is that if he does it again, bring up the issue before the Probation thread crowd for a vote. Can't have people ignoring the rules (I don't think it's his first time either?) He bumped after he sold a book via PM. And never acknowledged the link or posts. And no this is not the first time. Then perhaps there should be a poll vote there after all? I've seen a name on the list that was voted on by majority.

  11. Kudos to Cujobyte for Transformers 1 plus a surprise freebie! Thank you, sir!
  12. Best way to solve this is to immediately edit the book in your thread to say it is "On HOLD" and if the negotiations don't work out, state that the book is back on the market. I've seen a few guys do this in terms of keeping everybody up to date on the status of said book.
  13. I don't understand the mentality of some sellers that if nobody's on the boards, the books won't sell. Or if 4-8 hours pass, the books won't sell. Or if people eat too much popcorn, the books won't sell. It's just WEIRD how impatient I see some guys get when they put up their books, although it's kind of funny to see how many discounts get thrown up before the day is done. Do sellers expect their customers to remain online 24/7 or what?
  14. Kudos to Carcrawfordfan for a nice set of raw books! Hope you find new employment soon.
  15. Wow! That's the best condition I've ever seen the book in. Nice find!
  16. Sorry, Greggy and anyone else. It's not the time nor place for it. I won't continue the conversation any more. It just bothered me once I connected the dots after seeing that he was at the con, figuring out who he was there and what he had said not too long ago. I'm done with it and moving on.
  17. No, shame on you for being judgmental in the first place... There's a saying about how the things you hate often mirror yourself.
  18. Why do you ask?? Just wondering if it was from that stack of stuff we were both looking at at "Ed's" booth. Interesting. I remember what you look like now. Kind of fun to be throwing stones from a glass house, isn't it?
  19. Been kinda slow this weekend... Probably due to both Wondercon and MegaCon happening this weekend, plus nice weather in areas around the country.
  20. *L* Thanks, and I mean it - I've seen how some boards treat those types and I definitely don't want to be one of 'those types.' -slym You'll be fine as long as you pay attention to guidelines/rules, then it's smooth sailing from there on. Welcome!
  21. Kudos to ffcomics for quickly shipping a couple of raw G.I. Joes. Second time I've bought from him and both times were very pleasant. (thumbs u
