  1. At that price I guess this grades around 8.0 or better. IDK, more pics needed imo. But hey, free shipping!
  2. My sister and her husband have an attic full of unworn concert shirts from every band you can think of and a couple hundred you probably can’t, I’ve always worn mine all the way into the trash. I did however hold onto my 8th grade denim, still has a few patches and a small handful of surviving pins. The Metal Up Your A@@ patch spent a while thumbtacked to the bedroom wall.
  3. For me it’s trying to zoom in and out, every attempt ends with the error message I posted above. Happens on IPad and IPhone, both devices fully updated(16.6.1). Sometimes refreshing fixes it but other time I have to shut down the browser.
  4. Great review, a bit long winded but funny.
  5. It really is making coming here a frustrating experience. Pages with long strings of pics are almost impossible to enjoy.
  6. Couple of UKs, plus the results of my first subterranean expedition. Really looking forward to reading Imagine.
  7. So I just grabbed this Freak Brothers #1, it’s got a 75cent cover price and pink interior pages. So by all rights it can only be a 13th print right? Supposedly limited to 1,000 books, numbered, and accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity. Here’s my problem. My book came with a LoA that looks to be a photocopy or computer printout of what I assume could have been the original LoA. OK, that’s not super weird, unfortunate but not weird. The stamped numbers on the LoA and on the book match each other exactly, in number, size, font, color, etc. BUUUT, the stamps do NOT match the look of the only picture of a stamp I can find online. ComicBookRealm has a picture of a small section of a LoA, which not only shows a very different stamp than mine, but also shows the stamp placed on top of a raised seal, which mine does not have, not even as just a printed image. Seems like shenanigans to me, but SHOULDN’T a 13th print have a stamp in the book? ALSO, my production number is 1,014 out of 1,000 ?!?!? Book appears to be a legit 13th and why wouldn’t it be, it’s not a high value item. What am I missing? Thanks
  8. Great cover. The holograms were stylish at the time, as they we’re with comics, better that they left this one as an un-affixed card, it’s better without it.
  9. What movie(s) do you have in your VHS collection that are absolutely awful but you'll never let go of? I think the best terrible movie I have is Gymkata. So bad/good.
  10. With the exceptions of their yellowed covers and size these itty bitty Australian Frootloops minis are exact dupes right down to the indicia and page count.
  11. Recently spotted this example down at the Bay. I think it demonstrates well, as @OtherEric suggested, how the second cover that got stapled on would have been strictly for store promo, not a second comic book cover like the OP has. Would be interested to see a slab with a promo cover attached & how CGC would handle it.
  12. Perhaps not entirely canon, and with only 2 slabs up on the big board this #nn freebie may be among the least appreciated of the Bronze FFs, but I dig it.
  13. Pretty skippy Spidey painted skateboard. Oversized but still manages to fit on tracks.
  14. This past FCBD a local was giving out a Preview of his first book at the shop he used to work at, today I stumbled across this Johnson signed book down at the bay. Hope things work out.
  15. First book I ever bought that wasn’t fresh off the rack or out of a $1 box. Took it off the counter display stand, paid the princely sum of $25, and flew home. Peeled that extra long strip of tape back, but not off though… not off though. Been over 30 years and it still stings. A brutal lesson for a noob but well learned, tape gets tossed EVERY SINGLE TIME!
  16. VHS love plus a Faces of Death Hollywood remake in the works has inspired me to bust this first production of the original classic out of storage. Still plays really well.
  17. Sorted by most recent, then number of bidders. Not seeing $$$. The only money I see are the single bid silliness & I don't believe any of those for a nanosecond. I spent the 90's+ buying out all the inventory of every vhs rental store that closed on the U.S. east coast. I've inspected, boxed, unboxed, cleaned, cataloged, alphabetized, shelved, pulled, & reboxed countless vhs tapes. Diamond edition Disney classics are no less common than their non-diamond clamshell counterparts. That doesn't mean you won't occasionally find one of those "born everyday" types willing to pay for one.
  18. Unfortunately this is a very old and very untrue myth, Diamond clamshells are very common and can be bought in excellent condition for the same price as all the other Disneys. Also, before anyone brings it up, The Little Mermaid with the &$#&@ on the cover isn’t worth anything either. ☺️
