Thanks Mitch! I just ordered both of those Kirby Monster Volumes. Too good to pass up. Publishing all of those stories in one place is a superb idea.

What a great thread! Thanks for all the memories and stories. Robot Man, I was at a pool party at this years SDCC 2017 but it wasn't as cool as the one you were at years before. Would of loved to of met those creators. Fandom has changed sure, and it's not like it was but in some ways it's gotten better. The books are still out there to be collected and discussed and there is even more content out there being released every year. It's never been a better time to find whatever you want online or flip through multiple auctions and hang out here on these boards..."the comic book mothership" as I like to call it. Here you basically have a virtual convention whenever you want it. So many great boardies I have met here and at shows over the years. For artists and writers: I'll also add that there are so many options today for creators to publish and bring their work to the market. It's not just Marvel and DC anymore. If you have the vision, plan and time to execute a story, you can get your book made and out into the world on your own. I just love comics so friggin much! It's a wonderful hobby that has a bright future.

Here's a few favorites I've got in my reading stacks. That HOM has a killer story in it. I'll make a seperate post on that. Ghost Stories 1 is a classic! That and 'Tales From The Tomb" are two of my all time favorite horror comics. They are very different compared with the other issues Dell put out. Happy Reading horror heads! Halloween is right around the corner. ? -

I haven't been by this thread in awhile. Some great books being shared as always. For those interested, a lost Bernie Wrightson interview has been posted by Metropolis"s Vincent over on the radio website: http://www.comiczoneradio.com/ it was nice to hear Bernie again even though the interview was from 2008. He was a pillar of the horror comic world. Thanks Bernie! We miss you bud. -Christian Slade -

Darth Corgi replied to eccomic's topic in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only
Those Tales Too Terrible To Tell books are ESSENTIAL reading for any precode horror collector. It's what existed before these boards came along as a valuable resource. Still full of awesome information about this genre. -
I am one of the Guest Artists in G-26, located right in the middle of the show. I missed this one last year so looking forward to going and meeting old and new friends. Stop by and say Hi, and check out some of my art and books. This summer celebrates the 10th Anniversary of my graphic novel series Korgi, published by IDW/Top Shelf. Mention the boards and get a free gift too! -Christian Slade
