  1. Well I will say it is tough to create a horror comic! I've been working on an independent one shot with a buddy of mine for a year. I'm doing it in between other projects and it's weird working in this genre. Heavy stuff and kinda gloomy. Most of the stuff I do is more upbeat or horror comedy... I am having fun with it though. Hopefully I'll be able to post about it when it's done.
  2. Nice to see this thread up and running again. Just in time for October. ?
  3. Anyone watching this and the other books this guy is selling? http://www.ebay.com/itm/WEIRD-MYSTERIES-5-CGC-2-5-CLASSIC-MONKEY-BRAIN-COVER-WOLVERTON-ART-HOT-/162162231900?hash=item25c19f4a5c:g:wSgAAOSw-itXqAfB
  4. Yeah, but that cover story in HOF 27 is about a cannibal, and his comeuppance is about as gruesome as a comic book can get. Dang yes. I got a copy of that HOF 27. The horror in there!! Isn't that the issue that Bernie Wrightson used to hide under his mattress as a kid? Graham Ingels was a lunatic with a pen!
  5. Really enjoying the podcast. Keep up the great work and thanks for putting it together.
  6. You have to crack that book out. My notes say this issue has some of the best and weirdest precode horror stories that were published. Its a favorite!
  7. I just saw this closed auction listing earlier today. Can't believe I missed it! You got it for a great price too. Congrats!
  8. Congrats!! Great looking copy. This is a book I have never owned but has been on my radar for awhile. Enjoy!
  9. What you have is a perfect reader, in that you can't depreciate it's condition by handling it (and the price was right!). ACG's usually have one good tale out of the four, and if you truly like the book, either for it's cover illus or a story, you could consider upgrading to a VG when available. This publisher's fare doesn't get huge coin, as compared to EC's and Atlas's, so they are very affordable. Edit; I just looked at my copy; "Dunston's Fate" seemed to be the best story IMO. A dollar! Awesome. Those AITU issues were great. Lots of undervalued stories. Congrats!
  10. I think there was one in the pile I got... Where's Waldo? That Haunted Thrills is super underated along with the recap cover with the goat witch stirring the cauldron. BB, that is one dang sexy pile o comics!!
  11. WTF! I just saw this.....This collection is sick. Sick. Sick!
  12. Very cool! Dang. Well done Johnny. Enjoy that book. Looks like it was printed last week. Beauty!!
  13. Congrats Mr Robot! Great run of books I've put together myself. This is a favorite of mine. It has a great story called "Who's Got The Button?"
  14. Saw the first three episodes tonight. Awesome show! Love it as much as the first season. Imagine if they presented Spiderman in this TV show format? 12 hour season vs a 2 hour film... Loving this show!! Nothing seems rushed. Plenty of time for the characters and the plot.
  15. Look. This guys got little toy Skeletons. Dress them up! One of my favorites..... So frickin weird.
  16. My goodness. Already going..... Here's one for Skeleton Saturday!!
  17. Christian, these are incredible! Thanks! Grest books everyone. Wild stuff!
