  1. Planet Comics # 32 CGC 8.5 Look at these colors !!! Best colored 32 I have ever seen. This exact book was in a 9.0 holder, but now resides in a new 8.5. I have scans of it in the 9.0 holder if someone wants to see. Not sure why changed numbers but it is what it is. Whatever number it has on it, it shouldn’t matter...did I mention it has great color $ 1,200 shipped SOLD
  2. This is challenging posting pictures and write ups, but wanted to let everyone know I probably will not go in numerical order since certain photos seem to be pulling up better.
  3. Planet Comics 26 Gerber 7 , truely difficult to locate CGC 9.0 Off White to White Tied for second highest graded. The other 9.0 is cr/ow and the 9.4 is the mile high which may never see the light of day. A CGC 7.5 OW sold for $2,868 on 11/18/17 This far nicer grade copy, $3,400 shipped SOLD
  4. Planet Comics 23 CGC 8.0 CR/OW pages A 7.5 sold for $1,272 on 9/13/17 $1,400 shipped for this one
  5. Planet Comics #16 CGC 8.0 Off White to White pages No longer for sale Great colors, beautiful spine. Chip in back top spine keeps this from a 9.2 IMO
  6. I will start to post books around 2 PM CST. Cheers Kelly
  7. In this thread will be a good piece of the Planet Comics collection that I have put together over the last 12 years. All of these books I consider High grade and a majority have superb coloring especially for Fiction House. All are CGC graded and several are highest graded or second highest graded. In the group are a few Rivets, middle numbers, and a couple of the tough in grade late issues. I have been on the boards for 10 years and have known many a group like this to be sold by a collector. Some send the books to auction, some piece them out to dealers, some sell on the boards, and other ways I am certain along with a combination of all of these. I have always appreciated when people sold great quality books here on the boards first and I have purchased many a book from the GA sales threads. I would like to reciprocate the gesture that prior collectors have shown and offer these here. Secondly, I would also like to help another collector not only pick up some cool books, but help a certain friend of mine with ongoing expenses for Roshni. Michael and I have talked about books and had a great friendship over the last decade. He is a person that has a great perspective on life and his heart for others is made of Gold. Roshni is so very important to him, therefore as a friend it is important to me. So through this thread I would like to help Roshni as well. Every book sold in this thread, I will give $100 to Roshni. So when purchasing a book, not only will you feel great about a new acquisition for your collection ...you can feel equally as great as it will help young ladies be ALIVE and ready to be strong leaders in life in India.
  8. I have been on the boards for over 10 years, mostly buy and rarely sell. I have had many a deal with several around here like Billy, Rick, and Michael (Flex). Read second post about books in this thread. No returns on raw or CGC. Shipping is ok to US. If Canada, pm and we can talk. All other destinations, I am unable to ship. No HOS or other bad people. Payment via check or MO and should be within 7 days of post unless worked out prior to . First in thread wins unless pm deal is first. Time stamp will determine if needed
  9. I have to say I am not sure which of these would be my favorite, all of these are winners. Black terror 24 is tough.
  10. Here is a different style group shot of my Planet comics collection. The average grade of the 27 universal graded books is 8.97 and 1 5.0 restored (The first GA book I ever bought). It includes several pedigrees : Rockford, Okajima, Ohio, and Toledo. Very proud of my 1 and 73 (Title bookends) both being Toledo copies. There are 28 different issues total. I thought I would share as this will be one of the last pictures taken of these books all together.
  11. 26 is scarce. I am not sure what determines a “breakout” issue but my first thought is for 28. You hardly ever see it for sale and when compared to 26 which is known to be scarce, not as many CGC copies: Total CGC copies in census: Planet 26 - 20 copies Planet 28 - 18 copies I know the CGC Census isn’t a complete indicator, but it is a factor.
  12. Looks like a winner to me too. I agree with Flex, later issues are not tough but are super tough to find in condition. Also the later issues usually have consistent colors as opposed to issues about 62 or less where coloring can be a factor. I like your Lou Gehrig image
  13. Favorite 3 that I own are 13, 33, and 70 Top 3 of the run ( today ) is 8, 33, and 65 with 10 and 53 rounding out a top 5. This is a cover opinion only with scarcity, interior artists, and grade not factored in.
  14. Thanks to all for the nice words on this book in the thread and PM’s. To Flex’s point it is rare for the opportunity to purchase a book of this caliber so I wanted to offer it to my fellow collectors on the boards. Book is still available and this thread will close when sold or Thursday night whichever comes first.
  15. So much interesting knowledge across a spectrum of ideas and mediums. The last few weeks post have been a joy to unwrap one thread page at a time. Fascinating topics.
  16. Planet Comics #53 CGC 9.6 White pages , single highest graded. Highly sought after classic Planet cover used in Soti, bondage cover, and suggestive composition. Art by Matt Baker, Joe Dooin, and Maurice Whitman. Can’t image a better line up of artists in one book. When was the last time you saw ANY Planet in 9.6, let alone one of the most desired/cool covers of the run. So many more things I could say about this book, but I believe it speaks for itself. $9,000 shipped
