  1. Nice buy by you. Several great covers in the early and semi early Rangers and this one is near the top of some lists.
  2. Classic covers 8,10,13,19,33,35,41,53,65,70 Obviously 1 and 15 are excluded as they are automatic classics , right? Also, depending on your own definition of classic, 16 would be important to include because it is the only cover for the longtime FH staple Mars god of war.
  3. Hard to narrow it down to 10. I will give it some thought along with hardest to find (condition not being a factor which could be a very different list) and post later.
  4. I've always liked the back of these first few Planets with the back advertising. It is always fun to see what you could buy from a 40's mail order. Guns, airplanes, hats, dancing lesson book, etc. On a separate note, Owning a Planet 1 is quite an accomplishment, finding one in great condition is super tough, owning the exact one from a certain collection of books is quite a feat. I am sure you are as you should be.
  5. These Jungles are great . 11 is such a classic and your 33 is a tough one. I also love the colors of Jungle 75 you posted. Been a while since we had some "Jungle love" in the FH thread. Looks like you brought it back with a vengeance with this group of books.
  6. That's one beautiful think about collecting, you get to make up the rules. You can change them at any time. Collect what you like when you like it and all should be good.
  7. That's a pretty book. 19 is one of my favorites. Sounds like Rick is your comic Cupid, hooking you up with some sweet books.
  8. I am also enjoying the thread. Planet is my #1 comic pursuit so it is always great to see so many nice issues out there. Several years ago on the boards it seemed like Cheetah, Flex, Billy P (rivets only) and myself were chasing Planets alone. Nice to see everyone's growing appreciation for the Leader of the Big Six from Fiction House Comics. Soft Serve, welcome to the club. Keep the scans and conversations going. Always fun to talk about and see Planets
  9. There is a 'Planet' thread and FH thread. I can't figure out which to post in, so I went for both Rockford Pedigree
  10. This one came in the mail yesterday. Never owned this issue before, extra excited to get a New Planet. Rockford copy (a bonus in my opinion).
  11. Nice pickup on the 14. Looked structurally nice to me too. There is one graded at that level, two at 6.0 and. 9.2 (Church) so it might be a while before another similar grade surfaces. The 15 did have its "issues", but they don't grow on trees either. I thought it would move more, but it sat and sold without an extra bid. This copy has the second best coloring on a 15 that I have ever seen.
  12. What a beautiful book. I am not sure exactly what I was expecting when I clicked on this thread, but Wow this book is way better than what I was anticipating. Thanks for sharing.
  13. NIce group of books. 4 and 7 have great colors, 17 is a toughie and 29. I might be in the minority, but 29 is my favorite of your group. Just a greatly drawn cover with great composition and coloring. Lots of details in the cover, one being the "wing tips" on the girls shoes.
  14. Wise words, very tough book. Zolnerowich cover with a black background hard to find this nice too.
  15. Both of these look super nice. 35 is a great read if you decide to break it out. First Mysta of the Moon, extra level of coolness.
  16. Rangers 2 Tied for highest graded. 3 total copies on census.
  17. Very nice copy. These black background books are extra tough to find looking as good as yours. Interior looks nice too. Page to the right was drawn by Fran Hopper. Her art is
  18. Beautiful book and a pedigree to boot.
