Nice pickup. I have to admit I am completely jealous. I watched that book on metropolis for over a year. They wouldn't budge off the price and I never could quite pull the trigger. Glad to see it's going to a great planet collection. (thumbs u

I didn't look through the entire thread, but one that should be mentioned is within Planet Comics. The story series of Hunt Bowman and the Lost World has the character Lyssa. She was Hunt Bowman's traveling partner(?)/sidekick through many adventures on a new Earth which was freshly ravaged by an alien invasion. Her character was well written(mostly) and is fun to read about. Lyssa is on the cover pictured. She is wearing the red dress, You can't miss her. Just in case you missed her, here is a close up....

I really have enjoyed looking through this thread. A great look at the funny books from the golden age. Here's one I picked up that I think qualifies for admission into the thread. Also, it seems some have a desire to collect "green dress" covers and it would apply there too. Also, I have been trying to find some of the G I Jane title that were posted much earlier in this thread with NO success in any condition. Are they that tough to find or have I just not been looking in the right places? Would love for this thread to continue. Let's see more.

That one on the right is stunning! Great books!! This is a "picture" perfect example of how fiction house inks were inconsistent. The book on the right has much bolder coloring. It is a real treat when you find any fiction housebook like that with great colors. Great pickup!!

Man, those colors are aweome!!! Nice Deep RED Coloring!! Anytime you find a fiction house with strong colors, it always stands out almost no matter what the books condition is otherwise. Nice pickup,

Here is my latest Planet. I won this in the latest ComicLink auction and it arrived today. I have read this one before, It has a great Hunt Bowman story. Cool cover too!! A very nice 9.0 in person (IMO).
