  1. Received this one in the mail today, features one of my favorite cover artist. Definitely not an easy issue to locate.
  2. One of my favourites! I had to do a doubletake! I wonder if the colors are as different as they appear? both are beautiful books. Very tough book, it's been in my sig line want list for a couple years.
  3. Dibs if you ever decide to sell, alright? That is NICE! Rather have that than a faded or misprinted HG! Dibs #2 , that is the best coloring I've seen on that one. The sky is soooooooooooooo blue!! Great pick up.
  4. Very nice. I've been looking for a 13 for a while, early rangers this nice aren't easy to pick up. Looks like there are deep colors on this one.
  5. tough book, looks very colorful. I've never read this one, how are the stories?
  6. one of my favorite later Jungles. Very nice.
  7. Some CGC Fiction House And GA Humor. Recap and price reductions on page 3. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4315802#Post4315802
  8. I've noticed that variations are still fairly common, if not quite as dramatic as in earlier times. I agree, color variations are common, definitely not as drastic as early Fiction house. When you find one that is bold better grab it!! Bold colored issues are definitely worth waiting for.
  9. like this book. (thumbs u I could tell it was a Dan Z cover in about .14 of a second. On a seperate note, I wonder if that ankle bracelet ever gets in the way of her saving the jungle?
  10. Last one.... This book is closer to 9.8 than it is to 9.6 in my opinion. Colors are very rich on this one. Always liked how the soldier's arms are starting to decentigrate due to the Ray gun blast.
  11. This scan is a bit pixelated, but the colors in person are very bright and strong.
  12. One more for now........ I love the teeth on the main spider.
  13. Here is #8, and point five is spot on....it is a scorcher. Best 8 I've seen.
  14. By request, I'll try and post a handful of Planets throughout the day. Always fun to share. Here is Planet 5, Overstreet notes Rare and I agree.
  15. This is Fiction House related, I just received this very nice trophy in the mail today. The CGC Registry is an extra added level of fun to a collection. CGC is a couple steps ahead of other certification companies( baseball cards, coins, etc.) in the way it relates to it's demographic. One example is evidenced in their registry awards. To keep it even more relavent to this thread, I sat my favorite Planet right next to it.
  16. I think that's an icepick. IIRC, Kaanga and Ann were about to sit down for cocktails afer a long day of slaying evil slave traders when the gorilla burst in causing Kaanga to accidentally pour way too much vermouth into the gin, thus ruining the entire pitcher of Martinis. Kaanga grabbed the ice pick to exact the appropriate revenge. It's a lesser-known plot device for Jungle Comics, but a classic nonetheless. You are mistaken because Marguarittas are the appropriate drink after a hot day in the Jungle. Who would need an ice pick when they were making martinis? You must be getting it mixed up with the time Kaanga threw a jar of pickled onions in the gorilla's eyes and they then fought it out with those little tiny plastic swords. Classic story. Your both missing the obvious - clearly it depicts a log rolling contest, the ape is throwing his arms up in celebration of a hard fought victory. That Kaanga guy is just being a sore loser! If I could read his thoughts I'm guessing he'd be saying "No mere ape can defeat the mighty Kaanga at log rolling and be allowed to live! My trusty ice pick will ensure that this one never log rolls again!" This is some of the best heated debate discussion I have ever seen over a purple label book. P.S. It is a pretty book but......... My vote is for ice pick.
  17. Just received this one in the mail today, has a Zolnerowich cover. Beautiful rich colors on this one. Did I mention it has a Zolnerowich cover? Love Zolnerowich covers!!
