  1. Isn't it up for debate if Baker even drew this cover?
  2. Never enjoyed this era of Spawn. That logo was atrocious. How low were sales/popularity during this time I wonder?
  3. Schomburg and Baker will always be my top picks. Ogden Whitney is another personal favorite. His artwork had a clean and minimalist quality that I really enjoyed.
  4. Here's one with a similar expression from Captain Easy (1948). MM#8 is more of Schomburg's older style but you can tell it's him.
  5. Was gonna say the same thing. Schomburg's women always had a pretty distinct look.
  6. Happy to grab this one! Low grade but I'll take it. Can't beat his airbrushed sci-fi covers.
  7. Always wondered what products LD uses for that voluminous hair.
  8. I posted scans of these before, but never all three on showcase!
  9. That's such a bummer, especially after discussing him here. Sucks.
  10. Those numbers are out of my wheelhouse, but it seems tough to find any notable (graded) Schomburgs for under $1k as of late. I've been lucky to nab all of mine for under $500, but that well seems to be drying up.
  11. Never thought about it that way. The classic definitely has that unique superhero flare, but the modern one is just so credible like it's how The Punisher would look in real life.
  12. I agree! Here's another question: Do you prefer Frank's classic style (white gloves/boots) or his all-black look? Both certainly have their charm. I probably prefer black but still enjoy the white combo.
  13. Black Terror laying down the law on some crooks. Got this one courtesy of Dale Roberts.
  14. A crime thread needs a Crime Reporter! Got this one about 5 months ago.
  15. Doc Strange assaults the dungeon stronghold to rescue the lady in distress.
  16. Dealing with John was a very pleasant experience. Overall solid guy and seller!
  17. Good call there. What on-screen portrayal of the Punisher is your favorite? Looks wise, I thought Ray Stevenson was the best.
  18. I posted #89 on the previous page. Such a badass cover. All black with the trench coat, totally captures his essence. Was unaware Elman did any for War Journal though - thanks for that!
  19. Anyone wish Elman Brown did more Punisher covers? Such a hyperdetailed style, absolutely love it.
  20. Definitely agree. I said it earlier in this thread, but I think Capullo completely mastered Spawn's look.
