  1. Definitely have to pick your spots and be vigilant. I still haven't gotten anything high grade, but some are so scarce it's moot point.
  2. I posted it in here before. No idea how, I guess not many Baker fans came to bid that day.
  3. Been following that one. Absolute insanity. Probably close to $15K when all said and done. Seems like Bakers are back to skyrocketing - even low grade. No idea how I won my Diary Secrets 29 under $500.
  4. The gold hue in the Spawn logo matching the label is perfection.
  5. Recent ComicLink win. Classic shark attack cover. Wanted this for a long time.
  6. Interior splash from 86. I love Doom's jaded expression.
  7. Exactly my thoughts! There were more comics in the storage tub, but not much caught my eye. I saw a Spider-Man 2099 #1 and some Green Lanterns. Mostly newer books. I couldn't take much at the time. I'm going back to get a chair so I'll probably sift through them again and grab the ones I left.
  8. I'm not a Spidey collector, but these books fell into my lap for literally nothing. A relative is moving into a place with items left behind by the previous homeowner. She did not want them. I always read stories where someone stumbles onto forgotten comics in a basement (these were in a plastic storage tub in the attic), but the fact that I experienced it firsthand was pretty surreal.
  9. Such a peculiar term. Nice looking book though. Were the majority of your Spawn slabs hunted down or did you submit some yourself?
  10. Good imitation but probably still Kamen. He always drew money with a simple "$". And look at that dude's hands.
  11. Glad you're getting into it. Always thought ACG titles were underappreciated as a whole. I wish Operation Peril had more sci-fi covers, though.
  12. Relatively common. I have several slabs that look like this. Not a deal breaker for me.
  13. Is that what this is? I have a LD slab where the book is floating in place with no inner well. Thought it was a QC error. https://d3nvbf5pqk2vjh.cloudfront.net/cgccomics/monthly_2023_01/1724296751_s-l1600(1).jpg.ab07fa1b9e8fc7523076742666fd7ab8.jpg
  14. Another elusive one coming up soon.
  15. They definitely like throwing that around. I guess it applies to this one, though.
  16. Did you find them just rummaging through shops? Fascinates me to think these gems were largely forgotten about, collecting dust somewhere.
