Came out in 1952, it is pre-code. Two years before the CCA was formed.

Lady Death: The Crucible 1
LadyDeath replied to ComicSpa's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
9.2? Not sure. All I know is that spread by Hughes is godly. But I'm biased. -

That works, infinitely better than what I was doing. I looked at the advanced search before but glossed over putting his name in the description. Thought I had to fill out all the information fields so I didn't bother. Admittedly I'm not super familiar with ComicLink and just started using it recently.

Potential dumb question: Is manually searching titles (i.e. "Pictorial") in exchange/auction the only way to find Bakers listed on ComicLink?
-
Thanks guys. Exactly what I was unclear on with detached covers. I'd take a possible 4.0 for this. Not trying to flip anyway, just a cool book to slab.

Simulation, maybe. Baker needs to bless me next with some rare treasures.

I think I posted yours from the CLink listing before. And that is a weird stroke of luck, wow.

I thought you had the graded 8.0 of CL 26. Also how did you get that pristine Canteen Kate?
-
Don't stop there. We need your 8.0 CL 26 & 8.5 CK 1 to complete the trifecta.

Pretty cool how it predates Godzilla with the city destruction and such.

Very well stated. I'm content with the Bakers I've accumulated in such a short span, especially lucking out on several with good prices. But seeing the impressive collections of everyone else confirms that the hunger for more is real. Problem is, even if you have the money it doesn't make these books appear. Some are just plain hard to come by with collectors not wanting to part ways. Cinderella Love 26 & Diary Secrets 28 are on the top of my Baker want list right now, or a nice graded copy of Canteen Kate 1.
