The Mad Mamba - I love it!
Me too!
Amazing stuff, Zzutak!

Strange Tales #3.

That IS pretty.
Someone's going to love it, but at 4K, I'll have to be content with my reader.

My pet peeve is the "Thing" prototype in Strange Tales #95, a comic released months after FF#1. It even has a house ad for Fantastic Four, and the real Thing is pictured. I think Herr Uberstrassa has since pulled that notation.
As to Rick Starr's comment about Dr. Doom, I'm thinking he's just pointing out the similarity, not necessarily forwarding a pro-prototype agenda. (thumbs u

Beautiful copies! ToS 26 has always been a fave.

Seems odd that a b-lister like Ant-Man would command as much as the more popular Marvel characters, doesn't it? Many don't even consider TTA #27 Ant-Man's first appearance (opting instead for Astonish #35).
As sacentaur stated, it's about as scarce as SA Marvels get, but that's just half of it. People collect Marvel keys. All of 'em. And, throw the movie hype on top of that, and you get the current market for Tales To Astonish #27.
Personally, I kinda like that TTA 27's finally feeling some heat. It was my first key, and I'll always have a soft spot for it.

Nice!
Reason was NOT utilized when I agreed to the price on my TTA #4, so congrats!

That's a tough run to complete!
Tell me about it; I even like low grades!
But after 25 years, I'm there!

...and with this lowly lovely, my Tales To Astonish run is complete.
Only took me twenty-five years!

not in hand yet, but I paid, so blame ebay if I turn out to be a liar.

Time for the DC's. (thumbs u
I'm actually starting to let them go! I've got a Flash 105 up for sale currently. I'm keeping BB 28 and 34, Adv 247, Showcase 4, 22, 34 and of course all Kirby. But I had almost everything last year.

Oh, I'm mostly done.

I'm currently hunting Jack Kirby's lesser-known Marvel stuff, like westerns and romance
-
and then do one Marvel Silver Age key every year until complete.
I also decided to collect every SA Marvel key; it's really satisfying.
The real fun starts when you begin to broaden your definition of "key", and books like Two-Gun Kid #60 become absolute necessities.
It's a blessing and a curse.

Oh, yeah! A Fantastic Four #1 will look just fine snuggled in there!
-
That thing's gorgeous!

Ganging up on me, eh?
Alright.
All I know is, when I got my Hulk #1, it was great.
When I got my Fantastic Four #1, LIFE was great.

-1!
FF1>Hulk1!

That would have been a good month to have an extra 30 cents.

Let's hear it for him!

You have caught the bug, haven't you?
They're lots of fun, and won't break the bank. Dig in!

Kirby should probably get a screen credit for a ton of movies!
Comics are blueprints for films, and NO one has influenced comics more than The King.

I seem to be buying and selling here a bit more often, so this is probably called for.
